Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You cover both visuals and provide a clear overview: undergraduates are the largest user group, academic staff the smallest, and satisfaction is generally high. The figures for the user categories are accurately reported, and you include relevant comparisons across all five service areas. This meets the task well, with some features developed more fully than others. The overview could be more analytical: for example, identify staff helpfulness as the strongest result (95% very satisfied) and contrast it with journals, which have the highest dissatisfaction (20%). Also, “most of the users are very satisfied with the library services” is too broad, since only 45–65% are very satisfied for several services. Qualifying this as satisfaction being generally positive would make the summary more precise.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, an overview, a paragraph on user categories, and a final paragraph covering satisfaction. Information is generally sequenced logically, and comparisons such as the 44% undergraduate share followed by smaller groups are easy to follow. Linking expressions including “Overall,” “followed by,” and “Regarding” help guide the reader. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, with repeated sentence openings such as “The proportion of users” and “users,” and the final paragraph becomes a list of figures rather than a synthesis. Some punctuation spacing also makes the flow less polished, as in “Overall, there” and “users.Full-time.” Grouping the service results by stronger and weaker satisfaction would create smoother progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of task-related vocabulary, including “accounting for,” “dominates,” “availability,” and “reliability,” and the meaning remains clear throughout. There are also attempts to vary descriptions of satisfaction, such as “very satisfied,” “fairly satisfied,” and “happy with it.” However, some word choices and collocations are imprecise or informal for an academic report. “The rest 7% users” is awkward, and “rose up to 20%” suggests a change over time that the table does not show. “Academic staffs” is also an incorrect plural form, while “wifi” would be better presented as “Wi-Fi.” More precise, neutral reporting language would improve control and reduce repetition.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including subordinate clauses and participial phrases, as in “while 35% are fairly satisfied” and “accounting for 44%.” Most relationships between figures are understandable, and errors rarely obscure the message. Some grammatical and punctuation errors remain, however. Missing spaces after commas and full stops occur repeatedly, for example “Overall, there” and “users.Full-time,” and the opening sentence has a subject–verb mismatch in “the pie-chart compares … while the table illustrates” only if the intended subject is plural; keep agreement consistent with the singular “pie-chart” and “table.” The phrase “The second largest group … are” also has agreement inconsistency. Review sentence punctuation, spacing, and agreement, while retaining the varied sentence structures you already attempt.
