Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You cover both the user categories and satisfaction results, and your overview correctly identifies full-time undergraduates as the largest group (44%) and academic staff as the smallest (7%). You also select useful comparisons, including the 95% very-satisfied rating for staff helpfulness and the 65% figure for opening hours. However, some details are unclear or imprecise: “around 50% satisfied levels” does not distinguish the very-satisfied figures for books and journals (50% and 45%), and “unanimous highest satisfaction” is inaccurate because 5% were only fairly satisfied in each of those categories. The overview could also summarise the broader satisfaction pattern more clearly, such as the relatively lower ratings for journals and wi-fi. More precise reporting would make the key features easier to understand.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview of user categories, and a paragraph on satisfaction. This gives the reader a basic route through both visuals, and transitions such as “However” and “Finally” help signal changes in focus. At times, though, the progression is repetitive: the overview repeats that academic staff are the smallest group after the category details have already stated this. Some links are also awkward or unclear, particularly “out of five categories” and the shift from books and journals to wi-fi. Use clearer paragraphing to separate the two visuals, avoid repeating the same ranking, and connect comparisons directly—for example, grouping the strongest satisfaction results together before contrasting them with journals and wi-fi.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant task vocabulary, including “percentage,” “satisfaction,” “parameters,” and “reliability,” and you attempt to describe comparisons rather than simply list figures. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “unanimous highest satisfaction,” “fairly satisfaction,” and “not satisfication.” “Shares highest percentage” and “scored around 50% satisfied levels” are also imprecise. These errors do not prevent the main message from being understood, but they make the report less clear and controlled. Aim for standard chart language such as “accounted for,” “were very satisfied,” and “the proportion who were not satisfied.” Check spelling and word forms carefully, and use “satisfaction” as a noun and “satisfied” as an adjective.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast with “Whereas” and a sentence beginning “However,” so there is some structural variety. Meaning is generally recoverable, but errors in agreement, articles, sentence boundaries, and punctuation are noticeable. For example, “Full-time undergraduate users has” should use a plural verb, while “Acedemic staff users has lowest percentage” needs an article and correct agreement. Several sentences run together after commas or full stops, and spacing after punctuation is inconsistent. The final sentence also lacks a clear grammatical structure around “got 48% and 33% percentage.” Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check singular/plural agreement and punctuation before submitting.
