Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You identify the main groups and several important satisfaction results, including undergraduates as the largest user group (44%), staff helpfulness as the strongest result (95% very satisfied), and journals as having the highest dissatisfaction (20%). The overview also distinguishes the user categories from satisfaction. However, some details are inaccurate or unclear: you omit the 16% part-time postgraduate group, describe the figures as time spent or numbers of users rather than percentages, and say books had the least “not satisfied” response, although opening hours and staff helpfulness both had 0%. The comparison of satisfaction results is also selective, with wi-fi and the overall pattern across categories largely unreported. More precise reporting and a fuller overview would strengthen coverage.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for the chart and table. Sequencing phrases such as “Overall,” “For the pie chart,” and “Then” help readers follow the shift between visuals. However, progression within the table paragraph is less controlled: the discussion moves from staff helpfulness to opening hours, journals, and books without a clear organising principle. Some references are also unclear, as in “the most responding factor” and “this category,” which make the comparisons harder to follow. Grouping the satisfaction results by strongest positive response and greatest dissatisfaction, and using more precise linking and referencing, would make the organisation more consistently logical.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant task vocabulary, including “full-time undergraduate,” “very satisfied,” and “not satisfied,” and make attempts at more formal reporting with phrases such as “In contrast” and “ranked second.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “spent least time in the library,” “providing opportunities,” “most responding factor,” and “disappointed category.” “Inhabitants” is also unsuitable for people represented in a library-user survey, while “staffs” is not the natural plural here. Spelling slips such as “amogn” and “Availabiliy” further reduce control. Choose precise terms such as “accounted for,” “respondents,” and “dissatisfied,” and check spelling and collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and more complex sentences, including a contrastive overview and clauses introduced by “while” and “where.” The main meaning is generally recoverable, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “the university's students and staffs extent of using” has an unclear possessive structure, and “most of them very satisfied” is missing the verb “were.” In “Full-time undergraduate spend,” the subject and verb do not agree, while “95 library users express their opinion … as a very satisfied” has problems with tense and sentence construction. There are also awkward article and plural patterns, such as “the least user.” Review complete sentence structure, agreement, and consistent past-tense reporting to improve accuracy.
