Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You cover both parts of the visual and identify important features: full-time undergraduates are the largest user group, academic staff the smallest, and staff helpfulness receives the strongest satisfaction ratings. You also report several relevant percentages. However, some figures or descriptions are inaccurate: undergraduates account for 44%, not 41%, and the 45% very satisfied figure belongs to journal availability, not “availability of the staff.” The overview’s claim that availability has a “bad experience” is also too broad, since book and journal ratings differ and books receive 50% very satisfied. To strengthen the response, check each figure against its category and summarise the main contrasts across all satisfaction rows more precisely.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall shape: an introduction, an overview, a paragraph on user categories and a paragraph on satisfaction. This makes the two visuals easy to distinguish, and linking expressions such as “In comparison” and “For instance” help signal relationships. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “In contrast, while the availability service has bad experience for users” is incomplete in meaning, and the final paragraph moves between books, wi-fi and opening hours without a clear comparison structure. Use topic sentences and group the satisfaction results by strongest and weakest ratings, then compare the remaining categories. Clearer referencing would also help readers identify which service each percentage describes.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant task vocabulary, including “full-time undergraduate,” “satisfaction level,” “fairly satisfied” and “reliability of the wifi,” so the topic is generally clear. There are also attempts to vary expression with phrases such as “In comparison” and “large margin.” However, several choices are inaccurate or unnatural for describing charts: “attendents,” “an experiment on them,” “taken the large margin,” and “bad experience” do not express the intended data clearly. Spelling errors such as “quater” and “statisfaction” also reduce precision. Aim for standard reporting language such as “accounted for,” “proportion,” “rating” and “users were dissatisfied,” and use the exact service labels from the table.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including comparisons and clauses beginning with “while,” and the main message is usually understandable. However, errors in agreement and sentence construction occur across the response. For example, “The pie chart and table illustrates” needs a plural verb, while “the full time undergraduate have” has a singular subject with a plural verb. The sentence beginning “In contrast, while…” is not a complete, well-formed clause, and “availability of the books and reliability of the wifi have almost have” contains a faulty verb sequence. Work on subject–verb agreement, complete sentence patterns and accurate verb forms. More controlled sentence structures would make your comparisons easier to follow.
