Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You identify the main user group correctly: full-time undergraduates make up the largest share at 44%, while academic staff are the smallest at 7%. You also recognise that staff helpfulness receives the strongest satisfaction result. These points address both visuals, but the overview is unclear and some comparisons are inaccurate or incomplete. In particular, you describe 10% for books as the minimum dissatisfaction, although opening hours and staff helpfulness both have 0% not satisfied. The table’s other key contrasts—such as 65% very satisfied with opening hours and 20% not satisfied with journals—are not reported. Develop the overview around the strongest and weakest satisfaction results, then select a few accurate figures to support it.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic overall structure: an opening, an overview, a paragraph on user categories and a paragraph on satisfaction. This makes the two visuals identifiable and gives the reader a general route through the information. However, progression within the paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow. The overview repeats the point about staff helpfulness, while the final sentence, “satisfaction level varied in different slab,” does not clarify the comparison. Linking words such as “However,” “While” and “Where as” are used mechanically or do not express a clear contrast. Group the satisfaction figures into meaningful comparisons and use references such as “this category” only when their meaning is clear; this would make the organisation more coherent.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “accounted,” “satisfaction,” “availability” and “category,” so the reader can recognise the subject of each visual. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning unclear. For example, “the number of category in library users” does not accurately describe percentages, and “average in users chart” is not a natural way to describe the postgraduate share. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “undergeradute,” “helpfullness” and “undergradutes.” Use precise terms such as “proportion,” “share” and “respondents,” and check spelling and collocations when editing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some sentence variety, including contrast clauses with “While” and “However,” but control is inconsistent and many sentences contain errors that make the relationships between ideas hard to follow. For example, “The Pie graph compare” has subject–verb disagreement, and “While full time under graduates was maximum it had 44%” has problems with agreement and sentence construction. Several fragments also appear, such as “Which was categories in three part,” while the opening sentence lacks a clear grammatical structure. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement, articles, plurals and punctuation. More accurate simple sentences would help before adding complex clauses.
