Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You report several key figures accurately, including the 44% share of full-time undergraduates, the 25% and 16% postgraduate groups, and satisfaction with staff and opening hours. You also identify journals as the least positively rated area. However, the response lacks a clear overview that summarises the main patterns across both visuals; the opening sentence merely restates the task. Some comparisons are incomplete: for example, you do not mention that academic staff account for 7%, and you describe 80% as satisfied with journals without distinguishing the 45% who are very satisfied from the 35% who are fairly satisfied. A concise overview and more precise reporting of the main contrasts would make the summary more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has some organisation: it moves from user categories to satisfaction results, and paragraphing separates the information into two sections. Sequencing words such as “Firstaly,” “However,” and “Furthermore” show an attempt to connect points. However, the progression is not consistently clear because user-group figures and satisfaction ratings are mixed within the same paragraphs, and “Secondaly” does not clearly signal a new comparison or category. Some links are awkward or repetitive, such as “from this” and “remaining.” Grouping all user categories together, followed by the satisfaction findings, would create a clearer progression. Use linking expressions to show meaningful contrasts rather than simply introducing the next statistic.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant task vocabulary, including “full-time undergraduate,” “part-time postgraduate,” “satisfaction,” and “availability of books.” This gives the reader access to the main subject matter. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “the most satisfaction thing” and “their strength is only 8%” do not express the intended ideas naturally; “the highest-rated aspect” and “account for 8%” would be clearer. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “Firstaly,” “streangth,” and “remaing.” Aim for accurate, varied reporting language and check spelling before finishing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentences and use basic comparison and contrast structures, for example, “However, the small number of users are…” and “Furthermore, from reliability of wi-fi…”. Nevertheless, the range of sentence structures is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence formation, agreement, articles, and verb patterns. In “The 95% users very satisfied,” the sentence needs a verb and an appropriate article or quantifier, such as “95% of users were very satisfied.” The opening fragment, “These show about the users and their satisfaction in library,” also lacks a clear grammatical structure. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine related information with controlled complex clauses and consistent punctuation.
