Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You cover both visuals and identify the main user group accurately: full-time undergraduates account for 44%, while academic staff and distance learners are the smallest groups. You also report several satisfaction figures correctly, including 95% for staff helpfulness and 65% for opening hours. The overview that staff helpfulness is strongest and journals and wi-fi are areas of concern is relevant. However, some comparisons are unclear or imprecise: “less than 50% and 40%” does not clearly distinguish the very/fairly satisfied figures for books, journals and wi-fi, and “maximum users” confuses satisfaction ratings with the number of users. To strengthen the response, report the table’s key contrasts more precisely, especially that journals have the highest dissatisfaction (20%) and opening hours have none.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction and overview are followed by a paragraph on user categories and one on satisfaction, with a concluding summary. This makes the two visuals easy to locate, and linking expressions such as “Moreover” and “In addition” help show relationships. Some cohesion is nevertheless mechanical or unclear. “While” begins a fragment after the first overview sentence, and “Regarding to the table” is an awkward transition. The long sentence beginning “In addition” combines several facilities and percentages, making it difficult to track which figures belong to which category. Use a more direct progression and separate the satisfaction comparisons into shorter, clearly linked statements.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant task vocabulary, including “full-time undergraduate,” “part-time postgraduate,” “satisfied,” and “availability,” and the reader can generally understand the intended comparisons. However, several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision: “servey,” “undergradute,” “helpfull,” “consequnetly,” and “availibity.” Some collocations are also unnatural, such as “library is most popular among” and “very fulfilled” for satisfaction ratings. “Topic of worry” is understandable but informal and imprecise for an academic summary. Aim for accurate, conventional reporting language and check spelling carefully; precise terms such as “share,” “respondents,” and “dissatisfied” will help describe the data without awkward phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and more complex structures, including “While…” and the sentence beginning “whereas,” and most of the data remains understandable. Some grammatical errors persist, particularly in sentence construction and agreement. “While, the number of users…” is an incomplete clause, while “Regarding to the table” uses an incorrect preposition pattern. In “library hours are fully satisfied for 65% user,” the subject and meaning are not expressed grammatically; users, rather than hours, are satisfied. The final sentence, “availability of journals and wifi become is the topic,” also has faulty verb structure and agreement. Build complete clauses with clear subjects, and check articles, plural forms, and verb agreement when describing percentages.
