Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You identify the main user group accurately: full-time undergraduates account for 44%, while academic staff make up the smallest share at 7%. You also give a useful overview of high satisfaction with staff helpfulness and greater dissatisfaction with journals and wi-fi. However, some comparisons are incomplete or unclear. For example, you mention that full-time postgraduates have a “significant amount” but omit their 25% figure, and the statement that the other satisfaction levels differ “with 2% difference” does not specify which figures are being compared. Include a few more precise figures from the table, such as the 50% very satisfied with book availability, to make the less-developed aspects of the summary clearer.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction and overview are followed by a paragraph on user categories and one on satisfaction. This gives the reader a sensible route through the two visuals, and linking expressions such as “Overall,” “In contrast,” and “Regarding to satisfaction” signal relationships between ideas. At times, however, the connections are awkward or the references are unclear. The sentence beginning “While Full-time postgraduate students…” does not form a complete contrast, and “similar percentage in other two levels” leaves the reader unsure which satisfaction levels you mean. Use complete sentences and name the categories or figures being compared rather than relying on vague references.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for describing the visuals, including “proportion,” “satisfaction,” “dissatisfaction,” and “significant amount,” so the topic is generally clear. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “provide a data according categories,” “fully satisfy,” and “library face 44%.” These choices sometimes make the intended meaning less precise. There are also spelling or form issues, including “then” for “than” and “wifi” rather than the standard “wi-fi.” Aim for accurate chart language and natural combinations, such as “account for,” “are very satisfied,” and “the proportion of users.” This would make your descriptions clearer and more appropriate to an academic report.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast introduced by “While” and a sentence beginning “Although” is not present; your use of “which” clauses also shows an effort to vary structure. Some grammatical errors remain, though the main message is usually understandable. For example, “The pie chart and table provide a data” has an article and noun-phrase problem, while “Full-time undergraduate students have the largest proportion” needs a clearer grammatical relationship between the group and its share. “While Full-time postgraduate students…” is also a fragment because it lacks a complete main clause. Check articles, subject–verb patterns, and sentence completeness, and use punctuation to separate complete ideas.
