Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the largest user group correctly: full-time undergraduates account for 44%, and you note that staff helpfulness receives the strongest very-satisfied rating at 95%. However, the report only partially covers the data and several comparisons are unclear or inaccurate. For example, 19% were not satisfied with Wi-Fi, not “only satisfied”; 65% were very satisfied with opening hours, while the remaining 35% were fairly satisfied. The overview also misses that no respondents were dissatisfied with either opening hours or staff helpfulness, and that journals had the highest dissatisfaction at 20%. The response is 33 words below the required minimum, which contributes to the limited development. Include a clear overview and report the key figures accurately across both visuals.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: the first part describes user categories, and the later sentences move to satisfaction results. This gives the reader some sense of the two visuals. However, the progression is not consistently clear, and the second section reads as a series of loosely connected observations rather than a structured comparison. Linking words such as “However” and “Moreover” are used, but some connections do not express a clear contrast or addition. The sentence beginning “where books…” and the following fragments about journals and Wi-Fi make the relationships between categories and satisfaction levels difficult to follow. Use a separate, clearly developed paragraph for each visual, with an overview before the details and accurate links such as “by contrast” or “while.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “categories,” “satisfaction,” “helpfulness,” and “availability,” so the topic is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited, and several word choices or collocations make the meaning unclear. “Used library 44%” does not naturally describe a proportion, while “spent time in library to gain the knowledge” adds an unsupported idea rather than reporting the chart. Phrases such as “low satisfied people” and “the different” are also imprecise. There are noticeable spelling errors, including “diffderence,” “satisied,” and “availbilty.” Aim for concise chart language such as “accounted for,” “rated very satisfied,” and “dissatisfied,” and check spelling before finishing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts a few longer sentences, including one beginning “However,” but most structures are simple and several are faulty, so the reader sometimes has to infer the intended meaning. Examples include “It can vividly seen,” which is missing an auxiliary, and “full-time undergraduate students used library 44%,” which has an incomplete grammatical pattern. There are also problems with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries: “academic staff is 7%” and “where books is the different” are not well formed, while “Overall” and “where” begin sentence fragments after full stops. Use complete subject–verb sentences, for example, “Full-time undergraduates made up 44% of users,” and check agreement, articles, and punctuation.
