Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify the main user group correctly: full-time undergraduates account for the largest share (44%), while academic staff are the smallest (7%). You also report several other user proportions accurately. However, the response only partially covers the satisfaction table: it mentions staff helpfulness and begins to describe Wi-Fi, but does not report the remaining categories or complete the Wi-Fi comparison. The overview is also limited, and the claim that staff helpfulness had the highest satisfaction is not clearly distinguished from the 5% fairly satisfied figure. The response is 14 words below the required minimum, which contributes to the incomplete coverage. To improve, give a concise overview of the strongest and weakest satisfaction results, then select and compare key figures across the table.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic structure, moving from an introduction and overview to details about user categories and then satisfaction. This gives the reader some sense of organisation. However, progression becomes difficult to follow because the final paragraph is incomplete and the satisfaction information is not grouped or compared systematically. Linking phrases such as “Overall” and “From categories of library users” help signal sections, but some transitions are awkward, and the repeated use of “recorded” makes the connections mechanical. The abrupt ending at “33 is faily sa” also leaves an idea unfinished. Use separate, complete paragraphs for the chart and table, and organise each around a clear comparison rather than listing figures in sequence.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant task vocabulary, including “proportion,” “percentage,” “satisfaction,” and “accounted,” so the topic is generally clear. However, the range is limited and several phrases are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “recorded least proportion,” “recorded the highest percentage that 95,” and “from the total.” Spelling errors, including “acedemic,” “Relaibilty,” and “faily,” are noticeable and reduce precision. Some repetition of “recorded” also limits flexibility. Aim for accurate chart language and collocations: for example, say a group “accounted for” a share, and describe respondents as “very satisfied” or “fairly satisfied.” Proofreading spelling and choosing more natural reporting phrases would make the data easier to interpret.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some complex sentence forms, including the contrast in “Overall, the proportion … is the highest …, in contrast …,” and the response is usually recognisable. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make several statements difficult to read. For example, “full-time undergraduate student recorded the highest percentage” lacks a natural subject construction, while “the proportion … accounted 8% from the total” has problems with the verb pattern and preposition. The sentence about staff satisfaction also joins figures without a clear grammatical relationship, and “zero.Relaibilty” lacks sentence punctuation. Build shorter, accurate sentences first, then add controlled comparisons using forms such as “whereas” and “compared with.”
