Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You include information from both visuals and report many of the satisfaction figures accurately, including the 95% very satisfied with staff and the 20% not satisfied with journals. However, the user-category data contains a major misreading: full-time postgraduate users are 25%, but you assign 25% to full-time undergraduates, whose actual share is 44%. You also repeat “availability of books” where you mean availability of journals. The overview is limited to saying that undergraduates are the largest group and that opening-hours dissatisfaction is low; it misses the strongest overall comparison, that staff helpfulness receives the highest satisfaction and that no one is dissatisfied with staff or opening hours. Select and summarise the key patterns more clearly, and check labels against figures.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic structure: it introduces the visuals, discusses the user categories, and then moves to satisfaction. This gives the reader some sense of organisation. However, progression is not consistently clear. “At the first, we will discuss the table” is confusing because the next section describes the chart, and “In the other part” is a vague transition. The repeated “There are five types of categories” does not help connect the information, while the satisfaction figures are presented as a long sequence with little grouping or comparison. Use clear paragraphs for the two visuals, introduce an overview before details, and connect related results—for example, compare the high ratings for staff and opening hours with the lower ratings for journals and wi-fi.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant task vocabulary such as “academic staff,” “full-time undergraduate,” “very satisfied,” and “availability of books,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several expressions are repetitive or imprecise, including repeated use of “users” and “there are.” Some word choices and collocations are awkward, such as “different shades and colors,” which does not describe a meaningful survey feature, and “the users who have distance learning.” Spelling errors such as “realiability,” “safisfied,” and “satified” are noticeable and reduce accuracy. Aim for concise reporting language such as “accounted for,” “rated,” and “the largest proportion,” and proofread spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
Most of your sentences use simple patterns, and the reader can usually understand the intended information. However, grammatical errors occur frequently, and attempts to form longer sentences are not always controlled. For example, “This chart illustrate” has subject–verb disagreement, while “The academic staff has 7%” uses an unsuitable structure for reporting a percentage. The fragment “And the table shows library user satisfaction” is also an awkward sentence opening, and punctuation is missing after “not satisfied” before the next sentence. There are also inconsistent capital letters in category names. Practise accurate reporting structures such as “Academic staff account for 7%” and “95% of users were very satisfied,” then check agreement, sentence boundaries, and punctuation.
