Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You identify both the user categories and the satisfaction table, and most figures you report match the data—for example, undergraduates account for 44%, while staff helpfulness receives 95% very satisfied. However, the response mainly lists figures rather than selecting and comparing the main features, and it gives no clear overview of the most notable patterns. The final sentence is cut off, so the wi-fi results are incomplete; the table also includes 0% not satisfied for opening hours and staff, which could have been highlighted. The response is 140 words, below the required 150. Add a concise overview, compare the highest and lowest results, and complete the account of wi-fi.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some basic organisation: the response first describes the user categories and then moves to satisfaction, signalled by “Firstly” and “Second”. This gives the reader a broad sense of the order of information. However, progression within each section is mostly a repetitive list, with “Moreover”, “However”, “Furthermore” and “But” used mechanically, often where no contrast is intended. The table details are not grouped into meaningful comparisons, and the final sentence stops mid-phrase, disrupting the ending. Use separate, purposeful paragraphs and organise the satisfaction results around patterns—for example, the strongest ratings and the areas with more dissatisfaction—rather than reporting each row in sequence.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The response uses relevant task vocabulary, including “full-time undergraduate”, “availability of journals” and “reliability of wi-fi”, so the reader can identify the categories and measures. However, the range is limited and repetitive: “has” is repeatedly used to introduce percentages, while “Moreover”, “But” and “However” recur without much precision. Some wording is awkward, such as “linear representation” for the visuals and “full-time postgraduate people”. There are also spelling errors in “libaray”, “universtiy”, “satified” and “Futhermore”. Use more precise reporting language such as “accounted for”, “stood at” and “received”, and check spelling carefully to make the description clearer and more natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You communicate several basic facts through simple clauses, and the reader can generally understand the figures. However, the sentence structures are very repetitive and often incomplete or awkward. For example, “Second, in this table illustrates…” has no clear grammatical subject, while “full-time undergraduate has 44%” uses an unsuitable construction for describing a proportion. Punctuation is also inconsistent: spaces are missing after full stops in “users. Moreover” and “44%.However”, and commas are sometimes placed incorrectly. The final clause, “But, its (fairly sa”, is unfinished. Practise complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, such as “Full-time undergraduates made up 44% of users,” and proofread sentence boundaries and punctuation.
