Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You report most of the figures accurately, including the user-group proportions and satisfaction results for opening hours, staff, books, journals and Wi-Fi. This gives the reader relevant coverage of both visuals. However, the response does not provide a clear overview of the main patterns: for example, it could highlight that full-time undergraduates are the largest user group, staff helpfulness receives the strongest satisfaction, and journals attract the highest dissatisfaction. The opening discussion about libraries as valuable places is not required by the task and takes space from summarising the data. Some reporting is also unclear, particularly “48%33% people” for Wi-Fi. Select the most important comparisons and state them clearly to make the summary more complete and focused.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response includes the user categories first and then moves through the satisfaction results, so there is a basic sense of order. However, it is presented as one long paragraph, with no clear separation between an overview and supporting details. The opening general comments about libraries interrupt the progression into the chart information. Connections between figures are often difficult to follow, as in “50%,45% while fairly satisfied ratio is 40%an 35%,” where the reader must work out which values refer to books and which to journals. Use separate paragraphs for the overview and details, and organise the satisfaction figures by topic with clear linking phrases such as “By comparison” or “Regarding Wi-Fi.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “opening hours,” “availability,” “fairly satisfied” and “negative review,” which helps convey the survey results. However, word choice and spelling are frequently inaccurate or unnatural, and some errors make the meaning harder to understand. For instance, “conspired the collections” does not express the intended idea, while “quest its thirs for knowledge” and “arguments” are unsuitable in this context. “Staff is helpin” and “wifi facility is good” are also imprecise ways to report satisfaction ratings. Aim for standard chart language such as “accounted for,” “respondents,” “satisfied with,” and “dissatisfied.” Check spelling and use consistent, accurate terms for each response category.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts to combine information in longer sentences, including the sentence beginning “people who are availing the facility,” but control is limited and errors occur frequently. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are often missing, as in “data.students” and “8%,7%.during,” making the text difficult to read. There are also problems with articles, agreement and sentence structure: “A survey reported that all kind of library users and found” is incomplete and does not clearly identify what the survey found. The final sentence, “48%33% people hsve given their opinion about wifi facility is good,” lacks a clear grammatical structure. Use shorter, complete sentences and check that each one has a subject, a correctly formed verb and appropriate punctuation.
