Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Categories of library users
Student answer (Band 6.5)
The pie chart illustrates the percentage of library users belonging to different categories and the table below it shows the percentage of their satisfaction with the services available in the library.
According to the pie chart, majority of library users (44%) are full-time undergraduate students while only few of the members of academic staff (7%) and distance learning students (8%) use the facilities offered by library. Full-time postgraduate students are more inclined towards being facilitated by the library compared to part-time postgraduates, with their percentages being depicted as 25% and 16% respectively.
According to the table, the library opening hours and staff cooperation are the best services being offered as non of the users showed dissatisfaction while 65% and 95% being marked as very satisfied. Other services including availability of books and journals and reliability of wifi needs improvement as few users, almost 20-10% showed dissatisfaction by these services.
Overall, almost all the users of library services are undergraduate or post-graduate students, who are satisfied by it's services but the availability of books and reliable wifi will improve their satisfaction more.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You cover both visuals and identify the main pattern: undergraduates form the largest user group, while academic staff and distance learners are the smallest. You also select useful satisfaction comparisons, correctly noting that staff helpfulness and opening hours have no dissatisfied respondents, and that books, journals and Wi-Fi attract some dissatisfaction. This supports a clear overview. To make the report more complete and precise, distinguish the satisfaction figures more carefully: for example, dissatisfaction is 10% for books, 20% for journals and 19% for Wi-Fi, rather than grouping these as “almost 20-10%.” The claim that books and Wi-Fi need improvement also overlooks journals, which have the highest dissatisfaction. The response addresses the task well, but some comparisons and details are less fully developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The response is organised in a clear sequence: an introduction, a paragraph on user categories, a paragraph on satisfaction, and a concluding overview. Linking phrases such as “According to the pie chart” and “According to the table” make the shift between visuals easy to follow, and the main points progress logically. The final sentence usefully brings the two visuals together. However, the repeated “According to” is somewhat mechanical, and the conclusion partly repeats earlier information rather than adding a concise synthesis. You could improve flow by using a more direct overview after the introduction and then grouping the satisfaction results by contrast—for instance, the highly rated services versus those with notable dissatisfaction.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for describing the visuals, including “percentage,” “categories,” “dissatisfaction,” and “reliability.” Some attempts at more varied phrasing, such as “more inclined towards being facilitated,” are understandable but unnatural for this context. Other choices are imprecise: “staff cooperation” does not match the table’s “helpfulness of staff,” and “services being offered” is less direct than describing satisfaction with each service. There are also spelling and form issues, including “wifi” and “non,” which reduce polish without preventing understanding. Aim for accurate, conventional chart language and use the labels from the visual where possible, such as “very satisfied” and “not satisfied.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and more complex sentence forms, including the comparison “while only few…” and the clause beginning “compared to part-time postgraduates.” Meaning remains clear overall, but some grammatical errors recur. In “majority of library users,” the article is missing; “only few” should be “only a few.” The sentence about services has an incomplete construction: “while 65% and 95% being marked” needs a finite verb, such as “with 65% and 95% respectively being marked” or a rewritten clause. In the final sentence, “who are satisfied” has an unclear reference, and “will improve” shifts to a prediction without a clear grammatical link. More consistently complete clauses and careful agreement would improve accuracy.
