Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You cover both the user categories and satisfaction results, and the overview identifies the largest group correctly: full-time undergraduates at 44%. You also select useful comparisons, including the 95% very satisfied with staff helpfulness and the 65% very satisfied with opening hours. Most figures are reported accurately. However, the overview is incomplete: it does not clearly summarise the strongest and weakest satisfaction results across the table, and the user-category summary omits the smaller groups. There are also a few imprecise descriptions: 35% are fairly satisfied with opening hours, not “fairly agree,” and the journal figures refer to library users, not “book readers.” A clearer overview of the main contrasts and more precise descriptions would make the response more fully developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, an overview and paragraphs reporting details. The information is generally grouped sensibly: the final paragraph covers journals and Wi-Fi, while the preceding one reports staff, opening hours and books. However, progression is uneven because the overview shifts abruptly from user categories to satisfaction, and the transition between these topics is not clearly signposted. The sentence beginning “people are highly satisfied” also starts a new idea without a capital letter or a clear link to the preceding overview. Some repeated phrasing, such as “while” to connect comparisons, makes the flow mechanical. Use distinct overview statements for the two visuals and organise the details in a consistent order.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for describing survey results, including “satisfied,” “availability,” and “respectively,” and the meaning is usually clear. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or informal for an academic report. For example, “fairly agree” does not describe a satisfaction rating, “book readers” misidentifies the people surveyed, and “fully happy” and “not happy with this service” are less precise than standard survey language. Spelling errors such as “relibility,” “contraty,” and “happly” also reduce accuracy. Aim for consistent terms such as “respondents” and “very/fairly satisfied,” and check spelling carefully. This would make the vocabulary more precise and appropriate to the task.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use a mixture of simple statements and longer sentences, including comparisons with “while,” and the main information is generally understandable. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with articles, sentence construction and punctuation. The opening says “results of survey” rather than “results of a survey,” and “most of tge users of library are” needs a more accurate article pattern, such as “most library users are.” In “Half of the people who use library, are satisfied,” the article and comma are unnecessary or misplaced. The overview also contains a sentence fragment-like transition where “people are highly satisfied” begins without a capital letter. Review articles, sentence boundaries and punctuation, while continuing to use varied sentence forms.
