Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify several important features, including the largest user group (full-time undergraduates, 44%), the smallest (academic staff, 7%), and high satisfaction with staff helpfulness (95%) and opening hours (65%). These figures match the data, and you make a relevant comparison between staff helpfulness and book availability. However, the overview is incomplete: it focuses mainly on user categories and two satisfaction results, without summarising the broader pattern across all five satisfaction areas. Some reporting is also unclear or inaccurate: “48 people” should be 48%, and the statement that undergraduates “spend their time more in library” is not shown by the chart, which reports user categories rather than time spent. Covering the main patterns more fully and avoiding unsupported interpretations would strengthen the response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has some organisation: it begins with an introduction, gives an overall statement, and then adds details about user groups and satisfaction. Basic linking expressions such as “Moreover” and “Additionally” help connect points. However, the progression is not consistently clear. The overview combines user proportions with satisfaction findings, while later sentences return to user categories and then shift back to satisfaction. Several ideas are crowded together, and punctuation around transitions is inconsistent, as in “in contrast ,” and “8%.Additionally”. Grouping the user-category figures in one paragraph and the satisfaction comparisons in another, with a clear overview first, would make the information easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant task vocabulary such as “survey,” “satisfaction level,” “opening hours,” and “academic staff,” so the topic is generally clear. There is some attempt to vary wording with phrases such as “assessed” and “demonstrates.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive. “Survey library users” is an awkward description, and “people are satisfied with library staff” is less precise than saying users were very satisfied with staff helpfulness. Spelling errors, including “realiability,” “leraning,” “helpfullness,” and “availibility,” also reduce accuracy. Use precise chart language such as “accounted for” and “rated as very satisfied,” and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You produce several understandable simple sentences and attempt to connect ideas, for example with “Moreover” and “It means that…”. However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some statements awkward or unclear. The opening phrase “results of survey library users” is missing grammatical elements, while “The library is used more by full time undergraduate” has an incorrect singular form and lacks an article. The sentence beginning “Overall” also has faulty punctuation and sentence boundaries. In addition, “48 people are satisfied” does not express the percentage correctly. Practise forming complete sentences with accurate articles, plurals, and punctuation, and use a few controlled comparison structures.
