Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You report the main user categories and include the figures for all five groups, correctly identifying full-time undergraduates as the largest group and academic staff as the smallest. You also cover each satisfaction category, so the response is relevant to both parts of the visual. However, the overview is limited: there is no clear summary comparing the strongest and weakest satisfaction results. Some figures are also described as numbers of “students” rather than percentages, and the wi-fi figure of 48% is called simply “satisfied,” although the table labels this group “very satisfied.” To strengthen the response, state the key overall contrasts and consistently identify the data as percentages and the satisfaction levels precisely.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response follows a generally understandable order: it first describes the user categories and then moves to satisfaction, using “Firstly” and “Moreover” to signal progression. This gives the reader a basic structure. However, the information is presented in two dense blocks, and the satisfaction results become a long sequence of similar statements, making comparisons difficult to see. Some linking is mechanical, while punctuation around sentence boundaries is inconsistent—for example, there is no space after the opening full stop. Use separate paragraphs for the two visuals, group related satisfaction results, and add clear comparisons such as identifying which service received the highest very-satisfied rating and which had the most dissatisfaction.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “categories,” “satisfaction,” “availability,” and “helpfulness,” and the reader can generally understand the information. However, the range is limited and several choices are inaccurate or unnatural. “The high ratio is of” and “the strength of 65 students” do not express the chart data clearly; “ratio” is also less suitable than “proportion” or “share” here. There are noticeable spelling errors, including “satisfiied,” “amoung,” and “realiability,” and “wifi” would be better written as “Wi-Fi.” Aim for precise chart language and check spelling, especially in repeated key terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts to combine information using clauses and conjunctions, and most of the intended meaning can be followed. However, sentence structures are limited and errors occur frequently. For example, “The high ratio is of full time undergraduate students is 44%” contains an incomplete and duplicated structure, while “The ratio of part time graduate students is 16% that is average amoung of them” joins ideas without a clear grammatical link. Articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries also need attention; the opening runs “university. There” together, and several long sentences are joined mainly with “and.” Practise accurate simple comparison sentences first, then add controlled complex forms, with careful punctuation.
