Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify the main user group and report several satisfaction figures, including the 95% very satisfied with staff and the 48% very satisfied with Wi-Fi. However, a key figure is misreported: full-time undergraduates account for 44%, not “4%.” The overview also says that around a quarter of students are dissatisfied with Wi-Fi, whereas the table shows 19%; the highest dissatisfaction is for journals, at 20%. Although you mention journal dissatisfaction, you do not give its figure or compare satisfaction across all categories. Include a clearer overview of the strongest and weakest results, and report the user categories accurately. The response covers relevant parts of the task, but some important comparisons are incomplete or unclear.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, a paragraph on user categories, and one on satisfaction. This gives the reader a coherent overall route through the information. Linking expressions such as “Overall,” “followed by,” and “Regarding” help connect points. However, the overview sentence runs several ideas together, making the contrast between user composition and satisfaction difficult to follow. The final paragraph also moves between staff, books, Wi-Fi, and journals without a clear comparison or consistent sequence. Organise satisfaction results in a deliberate order—for example, highest satisfaction first, then the less positive categories—and use clearer sentence boundaries and references.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant task vocabulary, including “users,” “availability,” “satisfied,” and “reliability,” and make some attempts at more specific phrasing such as “helpfulness of the staff.” However, several spelling errors are noticeable, including “unversity,” “librabry,” “posgraduate,” and “satified.” Some expressions are also imprecise or unnatural: “spending most of their time in the library” does not describe the chart, which shows proportions of users, and “not satisfied greatly” is awkward. “Online learning students” is less accurate than the chart’s distance-learning category. Aim for precise reporting language and check spelling; these changes would make your meaning clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a comparison with “while” and a sequence using “followed by.” Meaning is generally recoverable, but some grammatical errors and punctuation problems reduce control. For example, “postgraduate students who accounts” has subject–verb disagreement, and “the part time postgraduates accounts” repeats this issue. In “while majority of the users,” the article is missing, while “The 95% of the users” uses an unnecessary article. Several sentences also run together after commas, particularly in the overview, and need clearer punctuation. Check agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries, while retaining your attempts to combine related information.
