Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You have successfully identified the main trends and provided relevant data points to support your summary. You included an overview and made comparisons between the two categories. However, there are some inaccuracies in your reporting; for example, you mention the figures were the same in '1013' (likely a typo for 2013) and describe the 2014 closure figure as a 'level of drought', which is an inappropriate use of terminology for a data report. To improve, ensure you focus on precise data reporting and avoid descriptive language that does not accurately reflect statistical trends.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The response is logically organized into paragraphs, with an introduction, an overview, and two body paragraphs focusing on the two categories. You use some cohesive devices such as 'In contrast', 'After that', and 'In the following year' to link ideas. However, the progression is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing and minor mechanical errors, such as 'two consecutive from 2014 to 2016', which is missing a noun. The use of referencing is generally clear, but the overall flow could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to connect sentences more fluidly.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'considerably', 'accounted for', and 'inclined'. However, there are some word choice errors that affect precision, such as 'level of drought' to describe a low number, and 'new opened shops' which is redundant. Additionally, there are minor spelling or typographical errors like 'continousely'. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing. The vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning, but lacks the sophistication required for higher bands.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. Examples include 'gives the information on the number of closed shops and new opened shops on seven year', where the preposition and noun usage are incorrect. You also have issues with article usage and subject-verb agreement, such as 'the number for closed shops remained almost same'. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the main points, they are frequent enough to limit the score. Increasing your control over basic sentence construction will help improve your accuracy.
