Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0

The response is severely under-length, containing only 58 words compared to the required minimum of 150 words. Because of this extreme word count deficit, the response fails to fully address the prompt. Furthermore, the selection of data is extremely limited and misses major trends and features present in the line graph. The overview is repetitive and contains inaccurate descriptions of the data, such as claiming the period covers only 2011 and 2018 rather than the full span between them, and misrepresenting the trajectory of closures.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The text is structured into only two very brief blocks, including a single-sentence overview that lacks clear logical progression. While basic cohesive markers such as 'OVERALL' and 'WHILE' are attempted, their usage is faulty, with the word 'WHILE' repeated awkwardly and introducing clauses that do not logically contrast. The overall organisation is disjointed, and referencing between sentences is weak due to the lack of development and cohesive ties.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is very basic and repetitive. There are several spelling errors, including 'COMPARSION' for comparison, 'FLACTUATED' for fluctuated, 'CONSIDERABELY' for considerably, and 'GRDUALLY' for gradually. Word choices are imprecise, and attempts at less common vocabulary result in non-standard forms and misspellings that detract from the overall quality of the writing, though the general meaning remains partially decipherable.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The grammar is characterized by a very limited range of sentence structures, consisting mostly of incomplete or poorly constructed clauses. There are notable errors in article usage and prepositions, such as 'IN STUDIES' and 'OVER THE TIME PERIOD GIVEN'. Punctuation is also problematic, marked by missing spaces after commas and improper capitalization. Complex structures are attempted but fail grammatically, leading to frequent errors within the short text.
