Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the extent of agreement regarding formal learning and the importance of play. However, the development is somewhat uneven. The position is clear, but the argument in the second paragraph is slightly contradictory; you state you agree that schools focus too much on formal learning, yet the paragraph justifies why this focus is necessary. The ideas are relevant, but the explanation of the 'neuro system' example is a bit simplistic. To improve, ensure your supporting arguments align more consistently with your stated position and provide more depth to your examples.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Furthermore', 'On the other hand', and 'To sum up' are used to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the opening paragraph where the phrasing 'If questioned i strongly agree' is awkward. The progression of ideas is generally logical, but the connection between the introduction and the body paragraphs could be smoother to improve the overall flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'theoretical teaching', 'stress buster', and 'brain development'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'disciple' (likely meaning 'student' or 'learner') and 'escalate their learnings'. The range is sufficient to communicate, but to reach a higher band, you should aim for more precise vocabulary and avoid minor errors in word formation that occasionally occur.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Group of individuals argues', 'schools is following the syllabus which are designed') and article usage. Punctuation is generally functional, but there are minor slips throughout. To improve, focus on ensuring that your verbs agree with their subjects and pay closer attention to the use of articles and pluralization to reduce the frequency of these errors.
