It is widely argued that primary education centres focus more on formal tradition learning for instance, english, mathematics and science. I strongly believe academic learning is essential and influenced in their future career. However, taking parts in games and playing is also very good for children health and for the society.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, acknowledging the importance of formal learning while arguing for the benefits of play. However, the essay falls short of the 250-word minimum requirement, which negatively impacts the development of ideas. While the position is clear, some arguments are under-developed; for instance, the mention of 'human anomaly' is unclear and does not effectively support the point about medical fields. To improve, you should expand on your examples and ensure you meet the word count to allow for a more thorough exploration of the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'One another example' and 'addionally'. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the flow between sentences is occasionally disjointed. While there is a logical progression from the introduction to the conclusion, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the repetitive nature of some transitions limit the score. Improving the variety and accuracy of your cohesive devices will help your ideas connect more fluidly.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'nessary', 'comunication', 'acadamic', 'socuiety') and some awkward word choices, such as 'human anomaly' instead of 'human anatomy'. While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is limited, and the errors are frequent enough to be noticeable. To improve, focus on learning the correct spelling of common academic terms and expanding your repertoire of collocations related to education and child development.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Physical exercise make them strong'), missing articles, and incorrect word forms (e.g., 'children with growing age'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing and capitalization. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to distract the reader. You should focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and ensuring that your complex sentences are constructed correctly.
