Student answer (Band 5.5)
Few individuals discuss that there must be main focus on formal learning in primary schools. However, formal learning assists to get information of books directly to the learner. I completly disagree with this statement which I explain in this essay.
One of the main reason is that student didnot get main points about their study due to lack of teaching method and proper use of equipments. As they are habituated to memorize the content and didnot know the content knowledge, actually how it happened. For example, memorize the science question answer about gravity without any demo or showing related video. Furthermore, learners also feel bore and lose interest in class. Teachers tought always in same method, exactly how they feel lazy and cannot focus on the study. So, for the betterment of student's future, formal learning method must be change.
The pivotal aspect for children to play together with learning in the primary school classroom is that they started to attract towards school. If the learning place have facilities of playing different sports, then more kids wanted to come school for playing games which automatically motivate them for study also. As any student continue in sports along with study from primary level, than he/she will definitely have chance to continue in sport. For example, My friend sandesh play cricker from primary level. He continue sport and education together. He completed his bachelor degree as well as he became national player in volleyball. Hence different games in school play significant role for the development and improvement in sports to secure future in sport.
To sum up, in primary schools, only focus on formal learning had bad impression on lerarers, so different method of teaching with clear concept by the help of projector or run classes in labs to easily understand for students with having different game, compitition in schllos wull motivate students come school and study in understable way.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: whether formal learning is too heavily focused upon and the importance of play in the primary classroom. The candidate clearly states a position ("I completly disagree with this statement") and attempts to support it with ideas such as student engagement, teaching methods, and extracurricular benefits. However, the ideas are often underdeveloped and repetitive, relying on general assertions rather than well-supported arguments. For instance, the example about the friend Sandesh playing cricket and volleyball is somewhat anecdotal and lacks strong analytical linkage to the core debate about primary school pedagogy. Furthermore, the final paragraph attempts to bring in multiple solutions but becomes convoluted. Consequently, the task response aligns closely with Band 5.5 to 6.0, ultimately fitting Band 6 for addressing all parts of the prompt with relevant, albeit somewhat basic, ideas.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay has a recognisable structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, satisfying basic organizational requirements. Paragraphing is attempted, though the division and internal cohesion are frequently faulty. For example, cohesive devices are often mechanical, repetitive, or inaccurate, such as using "Furthermore," "Hence," and "To sum up" in ways that occasionally disrupt the logical flow. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as pronoun use in sentences like "As any student continue in sports... than he/she will definitely have chance." The progression of ideas lacks smoothness, as sentences within paragraphs can feel disjointed. Overall, the organizational flaws and mechanical cohesion place this response firmly at Band 5.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The candidate demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range to communicate basic ideas, using terms such as "formal learning," "betterment," "pivotal aspect," and "motivation." However, there are numerous inappropriate word choices, awkward collocations, and spelling errors throughout the text (e.g., "completly," "didnot," "equipments," "bore" instead of "bored," "tought," "compitition," "schllos," "wull," "understable"). Less common lexical items are attempted but are frequently marred by inaccuracy, such as "attract towards school" or "run classes in labs." While meaning is generally retrievable despite the lexical strain, the frequency of spelling and word choice errors restricts the score to Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay displays a mix of simple and attempted complex sentence forms, but control over grammar is weak. There are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., "One of the main reason is that student didnot get"), tense inconsistencies (e.g., switching between present and past inappropriately, such as "Teachers tought always in same method"), and structural fragments or run-on sentences, especially in the conclusion. Punctuation is also problematic, with comma splices and missing periods affecting sentence boundaries. Because errors occur frequently and occasionally impede the reader's understanding, the grammar score falls into the Band 5.0 category.
