Student answer (Band 5.0)

Some people believe that primary schools only focus on the formal education of the students. while it is also important for children to play as well as learn in primary school class room.

I predominantly agree with this view as the primary reason of this monograph is to illustrate my point with the help of relevant exzample. beginning with my main argument physical activities plays a crucial role in childern brain adapting capabilities. It keeps them more active through out the day and they will be more focused towards their delivering lecture in the classroom. For example studies shows that student feels so lazy when taking lectures through out the day without any physical activity. It also shows that children found less attractive towards studies due to heavy burden of non stop lectures. so it is recommended that if some specific types of physical play is included as a part of education it will help childern to keep their mind fresh and peacful.

however it is also crucial for the teenagers to play and do some physical activity due to to the growth of their body and height, as due to the large hours of stay in school they sometimes dont get enough time to play. so schools activities can be the only way to engage students in physical activities.

In conclusion it is truley believe that playing games and physical activity should be the important part of formal education and each child should be encouraged towards it for their mental and physical development.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing whether primary schools focus too much on formal learning and the importance of play in the classroom. However, the development of ideas is limited and somewhat repetitive. For instance, the student states that physical activities improve brain adaptation and keep children focused, but this is supported by vague assertions rather than well-developed examples, mentioning only that 'studies shows that student feels so lazy'. The position is clear throughout, but the overall development tends to over-generalize and lacks depth. Phrases like 'the primary reason of this monograph is to illustrate my point' are overly formulaic and indicate a misunderstanding of academic essay style. These shortcomings place the response firmly in Band 5.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The text is organized into paragraphs, including an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing some basic structural awareness. However, overall progression is hindered by poor referencing and mechanical cohesive devices, such as 'beginning with my main argument' and 'however it is also crucial'. Paragraphing is flawed; the second body paragraph introduces 'teenagers' rather than primary school children, breaking logical continuity. Furthermore, sentence-to-sentence connections can be weak, and punctuation issues disrupt the flow. While there is an attempt to structure the essay logically, the inadequate handling of cohesion and referencing results in a score of 5.0.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is relatively basic and repetitive, with noticeable errors in word choice and spelling that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. Examples include 'exzample' instead of example, 'childern' instead of children, 'peacful' instead of peaceful, and 'truley' instead of truly. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary such as 'adaptability' (written as 'adapting capabilities') and 'development', but these are often used inaccurately or unidiomatically, as seen in 'found less attractive towards studies'. The lexical range is minimally adequate for the task, fitting the Band 5 descriptor.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but attempts at complex structures are frequently faulty. There are persistent errors in subject-verb agreement and tense consistency, such as 'physical activities plays' instead of play, 'student feels' instead of students feel, and 'they sometimes dont get' without proper punctuation. Capitalization errors at the beginning of sentences and after full stops are widespread (e.g., 'while it is also', 'beginning with', 'however it is also'). Frequent errors in grammar and punctuation can cause difficulty for the reader, matching the criteria for Band 5.
