Student answer (Band 5.0)
This is a very important topic to discuss. Education is very important at this age because the world is becoming a technological world. Also it has so many advantages like through education people learned well-mannered, well-behaved, and also more confident.
Actually, I think that in the modern age only reading books or formal learning is not enough because by reading only books our mind will get stuck and childrens feel bored. I think that practical skills must be add practical skills in studies. Because of practical learning childrens mind will open. When we read things only in books I cannot understand it properly as compared to do it practical.
So I don't agree that in our contry only formal learning is the way to success. In our schools system their is too pressure on childrens to reading books or print it in their minds which is absoulutely wrong concept. If they much focus on childrens abilities or skills then they see the improvement in childrens. Firstly, In every school at leat in two grade they only learn basic thing to childrens like how to talk, how to sit, and how to show well behaved.
In primary school it is very important to play childrens as the education is important. Because by playing different gamen with other fellows it makes the children more confident as well as increase their mental capability. By facing many problems in games they thinks how to solve this problem. So by this it increase the capacity of thinking or problem sloving.
By concluding the topic I personlly advised to all the school systems that they must more focus on practical learning or learn basic things. So it is very important for our new generation. However it rank our country like im the modern countries.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses all parts of the two-part prompt, sharing a clear personal position regarding formal learning and discussing the importance of play in primary school. The ideas, however, are somewhat limited and repetitive, with under-developed supporting examples. For instance, the writer states that formal learning causes stress and that practical learning opens minds, but these points are not elaborated with specific, well-reasoned evidence. The stance is clear throughout, but the depth of development aligns best with the Band 5 descriptors, as the arguments remain general and lack strong support.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay displays some overall organization and attempts paragraphing, but the progression of ideas is frequently disrupted by awkward transitions and poor logical flow. For example, sentences like 'Actually, I think that in the modern age only reading books or formal learning is not enough' are linked loosely without sophisticated cohesive devices. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as 'which is absoulutely wrong concept,' where the antecedent is vague. Paragraphing is present, but grouping of ideas feels disjointed, placing this text firmly in Band 5.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently relying on simple terms like 'important,' 'learning,' 'childrens,' and 'things.' There are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, such as 'contry' instead of 'country,' 'print it in their minds,' and 'doing it practical.' Less common lexical items are attempted but handled with significant inaccuracy, such as 'gamet' or 'sloving.' These limitations cause some strain for the reader, matching the requirements for Band 4.5, rounded to 5.0 for minimally adequate communicative intent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
The student uses a very limited range of structures, relying mostly on simple sentences with frequent errors in complex constructions. There are persistent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('childrens feel,' 'their is too pressure'), incorrect prepositions ('do it practical'), and awkward phrasing ('they thinks how to solve this problem'). Punctuation is also problematic in several places. These frequent errors cause difficulty for the reader and reflect the limitations of Band 4.0, though occasional simple sentences are formed correctly.
