Student answer (Band 5.0)
Schools are very essential for the basic and initial foundation of any children. because it helps them to learn and adapt the things at the first.
Different schools have their on criteria of learning that helps the children to learn as well grow in their foundation period. Most of the schools offer the kindergarden when their childrens are only 4 years old and this is the time when a child adapt and pick different things.
Well if we talk about the learning phase of children in the primary level so it's totally depends on the culture of that place where that school is located.
most of the schools often offers art and extra curricuram classes in the primary phase so childrens learns more efficiently rather than they are only spending their time in academia.
On the other hand, playing activities for the primary sections kids are more important because they build up this rountine while they are in classroom which is more crucial for their futures as well. childrens take part in the games in which they are having big interest that also helps them to keep mentaly and physicaly fit.
In this case, they spend their time in such good activities rather then spending their time on mobile phones and computers that is an unhealthy and unfit habbit.
In Conclusion, the primary schools also focuses more on sports and such games in classroom which can help a child to grow betterly

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response attempts to address both parts of the prompt regarding formal learning in primary schools and the importance of play. However, the development of ideas remains superficial and lacks adequate depth or specific examples. For instance, the mention that 'childrens take part in the games in which they are having big interest' is underdeveloped and lacks elaboration. Furthermore, the response falls short of the minimum word count requirement, containing only 242 words compared to the required 250 words. This negative impact on task completion, combined with the lack of fully extended ideas, results in a score at this level.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The text demonstrates some organisation, but the overall progression of ideas is frequently disrupted by poor paragraphing and weak transitional phrasing. Sentences such as 'Well if we talk about the learning phase of children in the primary level so it's totally depends...' feature conversational tone and awkward transitions. Paragraph breaks do not logically group distinct points, and cohesive devices are often inaccurate or mechanical, such as 'In this case' used inappropriately to link physical activity with reducing mobile phone usage. Referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult to follow the logical flow between sentences.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is generally basic and repetitive, with frequent word choice and collocation errors. Examples include 'on criteria' instead of 'their own criteria', 'extra curricuram', 'childrens' as a plural noun, and 'betterly' instead of 'better'. There are also awkward phrasing choices such as 'initial foundation' and 'having big interest'. While the student attempts some less common vocabulary like 'academia', the lack of precision and frequent lexical inaccuracies restrict the score to this band, as these errors occasionally strain the reader's comprehension.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response relies heavily on simple sentences and basic structures, with attempts at complex sentences frequently resulting in grammatical errors. Examples of errors include subject-verb agreement issues ('primary schools also focuses', 'a child adapt'), incorrect preposition use, and run-on structures like 'Schools are very essential for the basic and initial foundation of any children. because it helps them...'. Punctuation is also problematic, with missing capitalisation and commas. Because errors are frequent and can cause difficulty for the reader throughout the text, the performance aligns with a Band 5 descriptor.
