Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is ofently argued that primary level schools focuses too much on formal learning insted of real educational lessons. It is due to the fact, where parents ahve seen thire children doing regular normal task where some childern of the same age as them are able to complete difficult tasks. So this is the point where parents mostly compare thire kid whith another one and whant them to achive the same difficulty level at day one. However, there is an ongoing debate about main focused points of primary schools which can altimatly be benificial for those who are getting knowladge and taking first steps into life where they have to decied and choose. Therefore i completely agree that childerns should definatly have some extra time to play as well as learn in primary schooling. owing to fact it is very essential for everybody to understand that whenever a child does any mistake, it is not just a mistake but also a very stronge memorble lesson. So it is clear that giving childerns more time to play is not a wastage of there crutial time but is importent to let them done whatever they want. This type of methodlogy can deffinatly be more interstfull and be more engaging for them to learn easily. I conclusion it is statted that playgroups are good for childerns to learn and remember.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The student attempts to address the two-part prompt regarding formal learning and the importance of play in primary schools, but the response falls short of the minimum length requirement of 250 words, containing only 226 words. Consequently, the ideas are underdeveloped and the position, while generally discernible, lacks full extension and support. Examples such as parental comparison are mentioned ("parents mostly compare thire kid whith another one") but not thoroughly explored. Due to the under-length penalty and limited development of ideas, this response aligns with Band 4.5, rounded to 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The text suffers from significant organizational issues. The entire response is compressed into a single, excessively long paragraph instead of being properly divided into an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used awkwardly or repetitively ("Therefore i completely agree", "In conclusion it is statted"), and referencing is occasionally unclear. While there is a basic progression of ideas from parental pressure to the benefits of play, the lack of paragraphing and faulty mechanical cohesion pulls the score down to a Band 4.5, rounded to 5.0.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary range is basic and heavily impacted by spelling and word-choice errors. Words like "ofently", "insted", "ahve", "thire", "whant", "achive", "altimatly", "benificial", "knowladge", "decied", "childerns", "definatly", "memorble", "crutial", "importent", "done", "methodlogy", "interstfull", and "statted" demonstrate severe and pervasive spelling issues throughout the text. While the writer attempts less common terms, the high frequency of lexical errors causes strain for the reader, placing the response firmly at Band 4.5, rounded to 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The grammatical range is limited, relying heavily on simple or awkwardly constructed complex sentences that contain frequent errors. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ("primary level schools focuses") and faulty relative clauses ("It is due to the fact, where parents ahve seen..."). Punctuation and capitalization are also erratic, with lowercase pronouns for "i" and missing commas where needed. These persistent errors impede fluency and clarity, demonstrating the characteristics of Band 5.0.
