Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some individuals believe that primary schools focus too much on formal academic learning. I partially agree to this opinion beacuse it restricts the creative thinking of a growing and developing student but schools should incorporate classroom activities with the academics as well.
From my perspective, primary schools should encourage the students to play in their classroom environment and develop some strong creative, critical thinking abilities along with formal education. No doubt, formal education is important but if we can use a combination of formal academics with some engaging skills, then students can develop habits to think thoroughly about any topic, which will benefit them a lot in upcoming education. For instance, some primary schools in Lahore teach and engage their students in those activities, which incraese their creative thinking abilities in return.
It is extremely crucial for children to play and learn along with their education in classroom environment, through which that classroom environment can develops the time and workload management skills in students. These skills are sufficient for every children to cope up with the higher competition in coming years. For example, one of the schools in China organizes some competitions for primary students on regular basis, through which they want to develop time management skills in primary school students.
In conclusion, I partially agree to this opinion as formal education is equally important but primary schools should have to incorporate some engaging and thoughtful activities in parallel to that, as those activities are significant for developing creative thinking abilities in developing minds from primary classes.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both questions and maintain a clear, qualified position: you partly agree that formal learning can restrict creativity, while arguing that schools should combine academics with activities. The examples from Lahore and China are relevant, and you explain that activities may build creative thinking and time-management skills. However, the discussion is unevenly developed: the first example is only briefly linked to your claim, and the second does not explain how play specifically supports learning. The response is also one word below the required 250-word minimum; the eight words copied from the task prompt are not counted. Develop each example further and make the connection between classroom play and children’s learning more explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall structure: an introduction states your position, two body paragraphs present related reasons and examples, and the conclusion restates your view. Linking expressions such as “For instance,” “For example,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the progression. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, with both body paragraphs following a similar claim-example pattern, and some references are unclear. In “through which that classroom environment can develops,” it is difficult to identify what “which” refers to, while “those activities” in the conclusion could be more specific. Use clearer links between each example and the point it supports, and vary transitions so the argument develops more naturally.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “formal academic learning,” “creative thinking abilities,” “time management skills,” and “higher competition.” These choices communicate your main ideas, and attempts at more specific language show awareness of the subject. Some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, however: “engaging skills” is unclear, “cope up with” is not the appropriate expression, and “developing” is repeated in the conclusion. There are also spelling errors, including “beacuse” and “incraese.” Choose more natural combinations, such as “engaging activities” and “cope with competition,” and proofread carefully for spelling and repetition.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional and relative clauses, as in “if we can use a combination … then students can develop” and “activities, which …”. Most of the meaning remains clear, but some grammatical errors occur. For example, “the classroom environment can develops” has incorrect subject–verb agreement and verb form; “every children” needs a singular or plural form that agrees; and “primary schools should have to incorporate” uses an awkward modal construction. There are also issues with articles and prepositions, such as “in classroom environment” and “agree to this opinion.” Review agreement, modal verbs, and article use, then check each sentence for a complete, correctly formed structure.
