Student answer (Band 5.0)
Limited number of individuals in our surroundings, believed that primary schools focus more on formal learning. I completely agree with this argument.
Although formal education is the key component of a primary school. The primary schools are not updating their curriculam as per the new educational standards all around the world. Through formal learnign schools needs to brainstorm the students so that in future they are able to compete in different fields of life.
Most of the primary schools follow the same learning pattern for their students, they follow the same syllabus year after another. They are not providing enough training to their teaching staff to learn new teaching methodologies. All around the world, most of the countries adopting new teaching techniues for their primary schools. as the technologies are transforming day by day different modes of teaching are common among different countries.
Primary schools should adopt the new learnng methods wich include the learn and play. Through learn and play techniques students are able to learn different concepts easily. learn and play approach provide anotheer vast dimention to the students. through learn and play activities students can learn more easily.
As compared to formal learning , the new methods are as per students interests.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You state a clear position—“I completely agree”—and your response is relevant to primary education. You also suggest that learning through play can help children understand concepts, which addresses the second question. However, the task is only partially developed: most of the discussion concerns outdated curricula and teacher training, rather than explaining how much formal learning is excessive or why play matters in the classroom. The claim that play helps students learn “different concepts easily” is repeated but not supported with a specific example or explanation. The response is also below the required 250 words, so there is limited space to develop both parts of the question. Explain your position more fully and support it with concrete classroom examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic paragraph structure: it introduces your view, discusses formal education and teaching methods, and then recommends learning through play. This gives the reader some sense of organisation. However, the overall progression is not consistently clear: the discussion of curriculum updates and teacher training does not always connect explicitly to your central argument about too much formal learning. Linking phrases such as “as compared to formal learning” are used, but the comparison is not developed, and the point about play is repeated in several sentences. Some sentence boundaries and capitalisation also interrupt the flow. To improve, give each paragraph one clear purpose and use linking sentences to show how each reason supports your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “formal learning,” “syllabus,” “teaching methodologies,” and “learn and play.” This is enough to communicate the general subject, but the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or repetitive, which sometimes makes the meaning less clear. For example, “brainstorm the students” does not express the intended idea of developing their abilities, while “learn and play approach provide anotheer vast dimention” is difficult to interpret. Spelling errors such as “curriculam,” “learnign,” and “techniues” are noticeable. Aim for precise, natural collocations and check spelling carefully; vary repeated phrases by using terms such as “play-based learning” and “classroom activities.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, but the range is limited and errors occur frequently, sometimes making relationships between ideas unclear. For instance, “Although formal education is the key component of a primary school” is a dependent clause presented as a complete sentence. In “Most of the countries adopting new teaching techniues,” the verb is missing, and “learn and play approach provide” has a subject–verb agreement error. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in the lower-case starts after full stops. Practise forming complete sentences with clear subjects and finite verbs, and check agreement and punctuation. More accurate control of these basics would make your ideas easier to follow.
