Student answer (Band 5.5)
Its very important topic that we discuss here is formal learning of students in primary school. From my perspective its not good deal to teach students formal education like predefined education. In primary level its a first base of students like covers class one to five. In that time students getting up and easily pick up things, Like if we teach something they easily cover it and remember.
If we give sometime to students to do physicall activity rather than typical flow it benefical for students as well as instructor. Doing this their mind getting fresh and feel relax. Also doing this students getting more intrest in study as well as. These activities plays an important role in the bright future of childrens.
One example i discuss here, In my country most of the primary schools having ready made formal syllabus are provided at the start of student years their instructor are follow this syllbus whole years and no activity time or something playing is not present in it. In clearly seen by my sight its happening since last 10 years. Government could not taking intrest in this or school management also thats why teacher comes in class just read readymade books taught students and go away.
Its not good for students its base time of student to learn and getting up for feature these formal activities makes students base lazy and also make them lazy. In conclusion my opinion is that government of every country should need to make proper policies or committe that visit each school to see they perform co-curricular activities with formal study. Also school management like teacher follow this strictly and make students happy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the prompt: you argue against an overly formal approach and explain that play and physical activity can refresh children and increase their interest in study. The example of schools following a fixed syllabus without activity time is relevant, and your conclusion proposes co-curricular activities alongside formal study. However, the extent of your agreement is not stated precisely, and several claims—such as activities helping children’s “bright future”—are asserted rather than explained with a clear example or reasoning. The discussion also focuses mainly on physical activity, with less explanation of how play supports learning in the classroom. Make your position explicit and develop the benefits with specific examples to give the response more balanced support.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, supporting paragraphs, an example, and a conclusion. The school-syllabus example follows the point about activity and gives the reader a relevant illustration. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and connections between ideas can feel mechanical. For example, “Also doing this” is repeated, while “One example i discuss here” introduces an example without smoothly linking it to the previous explanation. Some references, such as “these formal activities,” are unclear because the preceding discussion is mainly about the absence of play. Use clearer topic sentences, organise each paragraph around one main point, and make links between claims and examples more explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “formal syllabus,” “physical activity,” “co-curricular activities,” and “school management.” This gives you enough topic-related language to communicate your main ideas. However, word choice, spelling, and collocation errors are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less clear: “not good deal,” “getting up,” “intrest,” and “base lazy” are not natural expressions in this context. Repetition of “students,” “activities,” and “formal” also limits variety. Build a bank of accurate education-related phrases and check spelling and word forms carefully. Prefer precise expressions such as “develop a strong foundation” and “become more engaged in learning” rather than translating ideas word for word.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a conditional idea in “If we give sometime to students…” and a concluding recommendation. However, control of sentence structure and verb forms is inconsistent, and errors often make the reader pause. Examples include “students getting up and easily pick up things,” “their mind getting fresh,” and “Government could not taking intrest.” These clauses need correctly formed verbs and clearer subjects. There are also problems with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, as in “In primary level its a first base.” Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using subordinate clauses. Proofread each sentence for a clear subject, a correctly conjugated verb, and appropriate punctuation.
