Student answer (Band 5.0)
It has been an arugauble topic of discussion of how the education system focuses more on formal learning than focusing more on basic life skill activities such as cooking, cleaning, tree plantation, food and nutrition, etc. Childeren majorly rely on their teachers as a gurdian for primary source of
information and skill development. I firmly belive the education system needs considerable alterations in the methodology of teaching rather than focusing on formal learning.
Focusing on out door activites do not only evoke curiosity among the young minds but also effective way of helping them boost their confidence, encouraging more participation and learning made easy. Children tend to remember more through the games than books and lectures. Without any practical experiment the book is rather a piece of information which they cannot process with proper visal exposure. Thus, it is very important to include activities that boost their learning skills that includes visuals. Aparts, it is very important that childern are equally involved in sports and physical activities ensuring to strengthen their physical well being. Childerens involved in sports show significant signs of healthy mind and positive attitude.
I believe with todays lifestyle all indiviaduals should learn basic life skills and be independent in order to life by thier own terms, thus these skills should be encorporates at an early stage of life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You take a clear position that primary education should include practical activities, and you give relevant reasons: activities may build confidence and participation, while sport can support physical and mental well-being. However, the response addresses the task only partially. It focuses mainly on life skills and outdoor activities, with little direct discussion of how important play is alongside learning in the classroom, and the examples are general rather than specific. The final paragraph introduces independence but does not explain how this supports your position. The response is also 28 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop both parts of the question. Explain your degree of agreement explicitly and extend each main point with a classroom example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: the opening states your view, the second paragraph gives reasons, and the final paragraph adds a related point about life skills. Basic links such as “Thus” and “Apart” help show relationships between ideas. However, the overall progression is not fully clear. The second paragraph combines curiosity, memory, visual learning, sport, and well-being without clearly separating or developing these points, while the final paragraph feels abrupt and does not connect explicitly to the classroom question. Some linking is also awkward or repetitive, including “rather than focusing more” in the introduction. Use a clearer sequence—position, reasons with examples, and a concluding summary—and make each paragraph focus on one main idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to education and child development, including “formal learning,” “skill development,” “curiosity,” “participation,” and “physical well being.” These choices show an effort to discuss the topic beyond very basic terms. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors make parts harder to read, such as “arugauble,” “Childeren,” “gurdian,” and “visal.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise: “learning made easy,” “significant signs,” and “life by their own terms.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms for classroom play and practical learning would also help you express the task’s ideas clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use some longer sentence forms, including “Focusing on out door activites do not only evoke curiosity … but also effective way…,” and you attempt to connect ideas with clauses such as “in order to.” However, the range remains limited, and complex constructions are often faulty. For example, the opening sentence has an unclear structure, and “Focusing … do not … but also effective way” lacks consistent agreement and a complete parallel construction. Other errors include “Children tend to remember more through the games than books,” where the comparison is not formed clearly, and “these skills should be encorporates,” which has an incorrect verb form. Review subject–verb agreement, articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries, then use shorter, accurate sentences before adding complexity.
