Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You take a clear position against focusing only on formal study, and you give relevant reasons: games can develop teamwork and communication, while physical activity may reduce stress. However, the response addresses the task only partially. It says little about how play and learning should be balanced specifically in the primary-school classroom, and the reasons are asserted rather than explained or supported with a concrete example. The health quotations do not fully develop your argument, and the response is 151 words, below the required 250. To strengthen your answer, discuss both classroom learning and play, explain how each benefits children, and add a relevant example, such as a lesson that uses a game to teach a subject.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The ideas are broadly relevant and appear in a sensible order: you state your view, then give benefits of games and health. However, the response has no clear paragraph structure or developed progression, so the argument reads more like a list of points than a connected essay. Linking is limited, and the repeated openings “There is famous saying” and “There is another famous saying” do not show how the quotations support the preceding ideas. The sentence “It refrshes the brain after which the ability of learning” also leaves the relationship between ideas unclear. Use separate paragraphs for your position, supporting reasons and conclusion, and connect each point by explaining its consequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “teamwork,” “cooperation,” “communication skills,” “stress” and “anxiety.” This gives the reader a basic understanding of your argument. However, the range is limited and several expressions are repetitive or imprecise, such as “physical game and other game” and “formal studies.” There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “footbal,” “vollyball,” “focous” and “refrshes,” which reduce accuracy. Some phrases are not natural in context, particularly “the ability of learning.” Build a wider set of precise terms for classroom activities and their outcomes, and check spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
Your response mainly uses short, simple statements, with few attempts to vary sentence structure. Some sentences communicate a basic point, such as “Playing physical games reduce stress, anxiety and pressure of studies,” but errors in agreement and sentence construction occur frequently enough to make parts difficult to follow. For example, “It refrshes the brain after which the ability of learning” is incomplete, and “when when students just take classes” contains repetition and an unfinished structure. There are also problems with verb forms and articles, as in “they will lost their health.” Practise complete sentences, subject–verb agreement and consistent verb forms, then proofread punctuation and sentence boundaries.
