Student answer (Band 5.5)
A few amount of individuals feel that primary schools nowadays, pay more attention to basic learning instead of other cocuricullar activities of their pupils . According to my perspective , primary schools should foster students to take part in formal learning as well as other physical activities .
A childrens mind is like a wet clay . It will transform into the shape you will project it into. Basic learning is the main foundation of a pupils academic domain. In todays world, it is really crucial to be a educated individual for the reason that nowadays , a well educated individual is on track to make a stable and promising future for himself as compared to those who are uneducated .An eduacated citizen ponder more then a uneducated individual before taking a crucial decision in his life.If we take a look at our surroundings, we would see that most of the successfull individuals are those who where enthusiast about education and have hands on to it for instance, the countries such as , China , USA , Russia are the most dominating economies of todays world because their literacy rate is exponentially growing day by day.
On the other hand , cocuricullar activities are as crucial as eating a healthy diet for pupils to survive in todays world. Students nowadays feel so exsausted due to their academic pressure that they could not even make it to their domestic life . The best sentience way by which pupils can knock down their academic stress is their physical activites for instance countries like Japan and China are one with least amount of stressed pupils . The reason behid it is that most of the their educational institutions provide non-monotonous sllaybus for their pupils.
In conclusion, formal learning is really crucial for students to have a promising future however , it will be a great ways to indulge pupils in physical activites for betterment of their mental health.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both questions and maintain a clear position: formal learning matters, but pupils should also take part in physical activities. The discussion of education as a foundation for future opportunities is relevant, and you give examples involving countries and students’ stress. However, the second question—how important play is within the primary classroom—is not fully explored. You focus mainly on physical activities and stress relief, without explaining how play supports learning, social development, or creativity. Some support is also unclear: the claims about national literacy and stress are broad and not directly connected to classroom practice. Develop these points with a specific example of a balanced lesson or a learning activity that uses play.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph supporting formal learning, a contrasting paragraph on activities, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” make the main stages easy to follow, and the central position remains consistent. This meets the lower-band expectations and shows some features of stronger progression. However, links between claims are sometimes abrupt: the move from educated individuals to the economies of China, the USA, and Russia does not clearly explain the connection. References such as “it” and “their” can also be unclear. Use topic sentences that directly answer each part of the question, and connect examples explicitly to the point they illustrate.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “academic pressure,” “stable and promising future,” and “literacy rate.” However, errors in spelling, word form, and collocation are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include “cocuricullar,” “exsausted,” “successfull,” and “hands on to it”; the intended meanings are generally recoverable, but the phrasing is not consistently natural. Some expressions are also imprecise, such as “the best sentience way” and “least amount of stressed pupils.” Build accuracy with common education-related collocations and check spelling carefully. Prefer clear, precise wording over ambitious phrases whose meaning or usage is uncertain.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and attempts at longer, complex sentences, for example the sentence beginning “In today’s world” and the conditional “If we take a look at our surroundings.” This shows some range, but control is inconsistent, and errors can make parts of the argument harder to read. Examples include “A childrens mind,” “a well educated individual,” and “An educated citizen ponder,” which show problems with possessives, articles, and subject–verb agreement. Several sentences also run together without appropriate punctuation, particularly in the paragraph about education and future decisions. Practise accurate sentence boundaries and check agreement, articles, and singular/plural forms when editing. More reliable control of these patterns would make your complex ideas clearer.
