Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is often argue that primary school focus too much on structured learning. i agree to a great extent that children should also play as well as studying in the primary level.

in first place it would be quite true to say that play his a crucial role in our lives. This is becouse if a student is a sports person so he will be always active, his concentration is far more better than a non sports person. for example a student who prefferd to play a chess so he will be a sharp minded so he can get any knowledge easily. moreover if a student continue to play with their studies, it can protect them from various illnesses.

on the other hand, when a academic learmning focused only on a education and did not allowed to students to play so for students it will be difficult for students to concentrate or relax his minds. The students will be unhealthy or unfit. For instance, a student who always study and did not play any game so he will be diffinetly become unfit and it will cause him a diffrent diseses like a atthritis diseases etc

In conclusion, i pen down saying that the advantages of playing in a pimary level is far more greater then its disadvantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You take a position, saying you agree “to a great extent,” and give relevant reasons: play may support concentration, activity and health. The chess example also begins to illustrate a link between play and learning. However, the response addresses the task only partially: the second question—how important play is alongside learning in the classroom—is not clearly answered, and several claims are asserted rather than explained. For example, the discussion of illness and arthritis needs a clearer, more credible connection to classroom play. The conclusion repeats your view but does not develop it. The response is 33 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to explain and support your ideas. Develop both parts of the prompt with specific examples and fuller reasoning.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

Your response has a recognisable overall arrangement: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting related points, and a conclusion. Connectors such as “in first place,” “on the other hand,” “for example” and “in conclusion” help signal the direction of the argument. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, and the contrast introduced by “on the other hand” is not fully clear because both body paragraphs mainly argue for the benefits of play. Some sentences repeat the same point, such as students becoming “unhealthy or unfit,” without advancing the discussion. References such as “his minds” and “it” can also make it unclear whose mind or which activity is meant. Use clearer topic sentences, link each example directly to its claim, and make the relationship between paragraphs more logical.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “structured learning,” “concentration,” “active,” and “illnesses,” and the reader can generally understand your main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling errors make the writing less precise. Examples include “a sports person,” “sharp minded,” “continue to play with their studies,” and “a different diseases.” Spelling errors such as “becouse,” “prefferd,” “diffrent” and “pimary” are noticeable. Some phrases also sound unnatural, including “I pen down saying.” Build a more accurate set of expressions for discussing education and child development, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain how play supports learning and wellbeing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if a student… so he will…” and a contrast clause beginning “when…”. However, the range is limited, and attempts to combine clauses are often faulty. For example, “It is often argue” needs a passive form, while “when a academic learning focused only on a education and did not allowed” has problems with articles, verb forms and sentence construction. There are also agreement and pronoun issues in “play his a crucial role” and “students… relax his minds.” These errors sometimes make the reader work to understand the intended meaning. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles and past-tense forms, and use shorter, well-controlled sentences before adding more complex clauses.
