Student answer (Band 6.0)
Few individuals thinks that the methods of teaching at early age schools are traditional. I am partially agree with this opinion because nowadays many schools introduced different ways of learning at schools.
On the one hand, many schools are operating on the old methods set by the ancesstors. There is no significant change observed in the syllabus, which is taught in many primary schools.Due to this, numerous students are unable to understand the modern subjects when they move to other institutes. This ultimately puts heavy burden on their minds and they sometime feels dishearted. For instance, In pakistan most of the government school teachers are aged and they don't have enough knowledge about various ways of teaching. That's why they teach in the traditional ways.On the other hand,a huge number of the private sector schools have skilled young teachers and they convey lectures in an advanced way by using different tools like laptops and LED's.This approach helps student in the better understanding of the lessons.
Although, learning is very crucial for pupils at school but teachers should be responsible to include balanced sport competitions in the classroom.Because games play significant role in the physical and mental growth of the childrens. Also, games raise confidence in the learners and encourage them to win and also helps them to bounce back from failure.
Healthy playing environment strengthens the bond between the students. Therefore, games in the classroom are considered benefical for student.
In conclusion, i would suggest that school administrations pay their attetion towards the training of teachers so that they become able to teach in the uptodate manner.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: you give a qualified position (“I am partially agree”) and explain why play matters, mentioning physical and mental growth, confidence, resilience, and relationships. The contrast between government and private schools also provides a relevant example. However, the discussion of formal learning is not always directly tied to whether primary schools focus too much on it; much of that paragraph compares traditional and modern teaching methods instead. The point about play is relevant but would benefit from a specific classroom example and fuller explanation of how play can complement learning. Your conclusion recommends teacher training, but it does not clearly restate your view on the balance between formal learning and play.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, contrasting discussion, a paragraph on play, and a conclusion. “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help signal the comparison, while “Therefore” marks a result. Overall, the ideas can be followed, but the progression is sometimes mechanical and the links between points are not always clear. For example, the discussion of outdated syllabuses shifts to students’ difficulty with modern subjects without fully explaining the connection to excessive formal learning. The play paragraph also begins with “Although” but does not complete a clear contrast. Use topic sentences that directly answer the question, and connect each example to the claim it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use an adequate range for the topic, including phrases such as “physical and mental growth,” “raise confidence,” and “bounce back from failure.” There are also attempts at more formal vocabulary, such as “significant change” and “balanced.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, which limits precision: “methods of teaching at early age schools are traditional,” “convey lectures,” and “sport competitions in the classroom” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling errors such as “ancesstors,” “dishearted,” “benefical,” and “attetion” also affect the overall impression. Build accuracy by learning common education-related collocations and checking spelling, rather than relying on formal-sounding phrases that do not fit the context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because” and “although,” and most of your meaning remains understandable. However, some errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction reduce accuracy. Examples include “Few individuals thinks,” “I am partially agree,” “students … sometime feels,” and “games … helps them.” The sentence beginning “Because games play significant role” is a fragment, and “Although, learning is very crucial … but” combines two contrasting structures incorrectly. There are also punctuation and capitalisation slips, such as missing spaces after full stops and lowercase “i.” Practise checking subject–verb agreement and making sure each sentence has a complete main clause.
