Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three requested points: you propose a lunch get-together, explain that it would bring classmates together after a long time apart, and ask Hayyan to manage the catering. The reason that classmates can catch up on what they are doing is relevant, and the request for help is specific. However, the explanation of why lunch is the best format is brief, and the organising request could be developed with practical details, such as asking Hayyan to contact caterers or confirm numbers. The letter also lacks a closing and sign-off, which would make it feel more complete as a personal letter. Overall, the main purpose is clear, though some ideas are less fully developed than others.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The ideas follow a generally sensible order: you introduce the anniversary, suggest a lunch, give a reason, and then ask for help. This makes the overall message understandable. However, the response is presented as one long paragraph, so the different purposes are not clearly separated. Several ideas are joined in extended sentences with repeated links such as “because” and “so,” which makes the progression feel mechanical. For example, the sentence beginning “I'm planing to host the lunch event” contains the event, its purpose, and the reason for it all together. Use separate paragraphs for the proposal and the request, and divide long sentences so each point is easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough relevant vocabulary to communicate the event and the help required, including “get-together,” “catering services,” and “organize.” The meaning is generally clear, but some word choices and combinations are awkward or repetitive. For instance, “at once place under one roof” and “we all classmates having lunch together” do not sound natural, while “event” and “classmates” recur frequently. There are also spelling errors such as “benificial,” “succesfull,” and “planing,” which reduce accuracy. Aim for more natural collocations and check spelling carefully; phrases such as “meet in one place” and “catch up with one another” would express your ideas more fluently.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the reader can understand the main message. However, some errors in sentence structure, verb forms, articles, and punctuation remain. Examples include “I wanted to organize an get-together” and “we have provide delicious food,” where the article and verb forms need correction. In “it's been ten years now since i had left the college,” the tense and article use are not well controlled. Capitalisation is also inconsistent, as in lowercase “i.” To improve, check subject–verb patterns and verb forms, and break up long sentences into shorter, accurately punctuated ones. These changes would make your meaning more precise.
