Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three points: you propose a party with food, drinks, music and dancing, explain that it would bring classmates and teachers together, and ask Damini to contact teachers and the college director. The plan to hold it on the college ground also makes the proposal concrete. However, some parts are less fully explained than others. For example, the reason that this is “easy to organise” is asserted rather than supported, and the help requested is mainly contacting people; you could specify whether you also need help with invitations, refreshments, music or arranging the venue. Clarifying the dance and singing competition would make the event plan more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a clear overall arrangement: an opening that introduces the anniversary, a paragraph describing the celebration, and a final paragraph giving reasons and requesting help. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore” and “Moreover” help connect related ideas. At times, however, the connections feel mechanical, and the final paragraph combines the reasons, venue and request without a clear sequence. The reference in “These participate” is also unclear, making it harder to follow who will perform. Use simpler transitions where appropriate and organise the closing paragraph in a deliberate order—for example, explain the benefit, state the venue, then list the help you need.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for the occasion, including “anniversary,” “group dance,” “classmates,” and “college ground,” so the reader can understand the main plan. There is some variety in the event details, but several spelling errors and inaccurate word choices are noticeable, including “latter,” “collage,” “celebreat,” “respactful,” and “annouced.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “like huge party” and “These participate.” These issues make parts of the letter less clear and reduce the precision of your vocabulary. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for organising events, such as “hold a party,” “invite our teachers,” and “announce the winners.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You communicate the main message using mostly short, direct sentences, and you attempt to connect ideas with longer structures, such as “I think this is right way to celebrate … and its easy to organise.” However, there are some recurring grammatical errors in verb forms, articles and sentence construction. For example, “I want celebrate” needs an infinitive marker, “I am writing this latter about organise” needs a different grammatical pattern, and “I need your help in to contect” has an incorrect preposition and verb form. Capitalisation is also inconsistent in “Moreover, We” and “i need.” Practise accurate patterns such as “I would like to organise,” “I need your help contacting,” and “It would be a good way to celebrate.”
