Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three points: you propose a reunion with games and dinner, explain that it would let former classmates reconnect and hear about one another’s lives, and ask Sam to help with games and decoration. These details make the purpose clear and relevant. The explanation of why this format would work is present, but could be developed further—for example, explain why the activities would appeal to this group or how the event would bring people together. The request for help is also somewhat unclear in “I will take care of invitation and food so cab work you on games.” You show some of the fuller development expected at the next level, but clearer, more specific explanations would strengthen the letter.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a recognisable progression: you introduce the reunion, describe the proposed activities, give reasons for meeting, and then ask Sam to help. Paragraph breaks support this overall arrangement. However, some links are mechanical or unclear. “To commence” and “On top of that” feel formulaic, while “Since, it has been a decades…” does not connect smoothly to the preceding paragraph. The final request also combines several ideas in one sentence, making the relationship between your responsibilities and Sam’s less clear. Use simpler transitions where appropriate and organise each paragraph around one clear purpose; this would make the progression easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for a reunion, including “get together,” “games,” “decoration,” and “memorable,” and you attempt more specific expressions such as “cultural head” and “meet and greet.” However, several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make the language less natural: “address you that,” “cheerish,” “make in suceesful,” and “manage things.” Some phrases are also imprecise, such as “especially college and school mates,” when the task focuses on college friends and classmates. The range is sufficient to communicate the main ideas, but more accurate, natural combinations would improve clarity. Check spelling and learn common phrases in context rather than translating them directly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause beginning “because” and a contrast introduced by “However.” The main message is generally understandable, but errors occur across verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries. For example, “it been long we had no meet” needs a clearer tense structure, and “it has been a decades we did not interacted” combines incompatible forms. In “I hope you are doing well, I am writing…,” a full stop or conjunction is needed between the clauses. The request sentence also lacks a clear grammatical structure. Practise building accurate past and present-perfect sentences, and proofread each sentence for a complete clause and correct verb form.
