Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address the main purpose by proposing a reunion, describing a group game based on professors and students, and asking for help collecting old photographs. These details make the plan relevant, but the task is only partly developed: the event is described as happening “this coming weekend” without a venue or clear arrangements, and the request for help is vague about who should collect which photos or how they should be shared. The reason for choosing games is also brief (“more joyfull and have some fun”), so it does not fully explain why this format would suit the anniversary. Address your friend directly and develop each point with practical details and a clearer explanation of the benefits.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The letter has a recognisable opening, several body paragraphs and a closing, and the ideas broadly move from announcing the reunion to describing activities and requesting help. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow. For example, “Although, in event there are different kinds of games play by one of our friends coming there in groups” does not clearly connect the activity to the plan, while “Apart from this I seek that someone help me…” introduces the request awkwardly. Linking expressions such as “Although,” “Eventhough,” and “as a result” are not always used to show the intended relationship. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each idea directly to the next; make the request its own focused paragraph.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the basic plan, with relevant words such as “event,” “groups,” “professors,” “students,” and “pictures.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the message unclear or unnatural. “Fresh our old memories” does not express the intended idea naturally, and “the ambious look attractive” is difficult to understand. There are also noticeable spelling and word-form errors, including “joyfull,” “meaningfull,” and “Eventhough.” Choose familiar, accurate expressions rather than attempting unclear wording, and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary for the venue, activities, and organising tasks would make the letter easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a sentence beginning “so that” and one using “Although,” but complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some parts difficult to follow. For example, “it was almost ten years ago I left my college” is missing a grammatical link, and “two groups made with four members each” lacks a clear verb construction. In “I wish all you to come,” the sentence pattern is also incorrect. There are problems with articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries, as in “Hope everything is fine, it was…” Practise building accurate short sentences first, then combine them with correctly formed clauses and punctuation.
