Dear Gurbaksh ,
How are you ? and How's your life going on ? It has been a long time to see you . It's my birthday in the upcoming week and I inivite you to the birthday party .
In this party , I invited most of our college time seniors and class- fellows. Its a kind of get together of all on my Birthday party. Its the great idea because we will play our college time favourite game , vollyball at the beach . its a relaxing and cozy place too.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
The response only partially addresses the task requirements and suffers from a significant misunderstanding of the prompt. While the instructions specifically ask you to write about an anniversary event to celebrate ten years since leaving college with your friends, your letter instead discusses an upcoming birthday party and mentions inviting college time seniors and class fellows. Because the core scenario of a ten-year college reunion is missed and replaced with a birthday celebration, the response only minimally and tangentially engages with the prompt as a whole. You did include some relevant details about the seaside location and needing help with items like volleyball equipment, but the failure to address the central ten-year reunion theme prevents the ideas from being fully developed according to the prompt's instructions.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The letter shows some organization, but there is no clear overall progression of ideas, and the structure is hindered by a lack of proper paragraphing. Ideas tend to be grouped together rather than separated logically; for instance, the details about the event, the location, and the request for help are bundled into a single dense block of text. Cohesive devices are repetitive and sometimes inaccurate, such as the frequent use of 'and', 'also', and 'moreover' to link simple clauses. Referencing is occasionally unclear, making it sometimes difficult to follow how the sentences connect to one another. To improve, you should separate your main points into distinct paragraphs, such as an introduction, the event details, and the request for assistance, while utilizing a wider and more accurate range of linking words.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task, with noticeable errors that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. While you attempted some less common words and phrases, such as 'class-fellows', 'get together', and 'seaside area', there are frequent issues with word choice, collocation, and spelling, including mistakes like 'inivite', 'vollyball', and 'helo'. Repetition of basic terms is also evident throughout the text, particularly words like 'party' and 'celebrate'. To reach a higher level, you need to expand your vocabulary range, use more precise terminology related to social events and gatherings, and carefully check your spelling and word forms to ensure clear and natural communication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
Your writing displays a very limited range of structures, relying mostly on simple sentences with frequent errors in grammar, punctuation, and sentence construction. Attempts at more complex structures or compound questions, such as 'How are you ? and How's your life going on ?', often contain punctuation and spacing faults. There are also noticeable errors with verb tenses, prepositions, and articles, such as 'It has been a long time to see you', 'In this party', and 'at the beach'. These frequent errors can cause some difficulty for the reader and distract from the meaning. To improve your grammatical score, focus on mastering basic sentence patterns, ensuring correct verb-tense consistency, and eliminating frequent punctuation errors.
