Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You successfully covered all parts of the prompt by mentioning the type of celebration event you would like to organise, explaining why it would be good to celebrate in this way, and describing the help you need. For instance, you clearly stated your intention to host a small party in a popular community hall and asked your friend for assistance in finding contacts of classmates. However, some ideas remain under-developed or briefly touched upon, such as the specific details of the games and dishes, which prevents the response from achieving a higher score. The tone is appropriately informal and friendly for a general letter format.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

Your letter has an overall coherent arrangement and a clear purpose from the beginning, addressing Rohit directly. However, the organisation suffers from a lack of clear paragraphing, as the text is clumped together into large blocks of writing rather than distinct paragraphs for each bullet point. Furthermore, cohesive devices are sometimes mechanical or missing, and referencing is not always clear, such as in sentences like 'according to that person who attend it,' which disrupts the logical flow and progression of your ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You used an adequate range of vocabulary suitable for the task, attempting some less common words and phrases like 'community hall' and 'reunion party'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, such as 'appericiate', 'connects', and 'classmats', as well as awkward phrasing like 'find connects'. These lexical errors do not seriously impede communication, but they restrict your vocabulary score because control over word forms and spelling is inconsistent.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempted a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some ability to link clauses with conjunctions and relative pronouns. However, there are several errors in grammar and punctuation, including subject-verb agreement issues ('everyone are busy', 'person who attend'), awkward tense shifts ('i want to organise... I will decide'), and missing capitalisation and punctuation marks. While these errors rarely impede overall communication, they represent a recurring pattern of mistakes that keep the grammatical score at this level.
