Dear Sam,
Its been a very long time to talk with you. Well, I'm writing this letter to talk about that I am thinking to organize our 10 years college anniversry celebration with our college friends.
I am thinking that we will book our college party-hall by taking permisson from college. Subsequently, I believe that we will organize dance party, some games and other activites which can makes this party best and also we will make some videos about our college memories. Additionally, I also suggest to invite our professors in this party and we will decide specific dress code for all friends and our college staff.
When our all friends meet after long time in this party then they will remember their old memories . Also, by enjoying the dance and other activities with old friends they can reduce their daily life strees. In addition, this party is not just for game and activies it will be for each other love and emotion.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The response successfully addresses all parts of the prompt, satisfying the requirements for a general correspondence task. You clearly stated the kind of celebration event you would like to organise, explaining that you want to hold a dance party at the college party-hall with games, videos of memories, professors, and a specific dress code. You also explained the benefits well, noting how it helps recall old memories and reduces daily stress. Additionally, you described the help needed regarding contact details and a photographer. However, some ideas remain slightly under-developed rather than fully extended, placing the response right at the threshold of the next level where ideas would be more thoroughly expanded and supported throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
Your letter shows a coherent overall arrangement with a clear paragraph structure, where each paragraph handles a specific bullet point from the prompt. You use some basic cohesive devices to connect your thoughts, such as 'Subsequently', 'Additionally', and 'In addition'. However, referencing and cohesion are sometimes a bit mechanical or repetitive, as seen with phrases like 'I am thinking that we will'. There is a logical progression from introducing the event to discussing activities, benefits, and finally requesting help, but the transitions between ideas could be smoother and more naturally integrated to reach a higher level of performance.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, but the range is limited and contains noticeable errors that occasionally distract the reader. You attempt some less common words and phrases, such as 'anniversry', 'permisson', 'activites', and 'strees', but these contain spelling mistakes. There are also awkward word choices and collocations, such as 'reduce their daily life strees' instead of relieve stress, and 'get some friends contact' instead of contact details. To improve, you need to expand your lexical range, improve your spelling control, and use more precise collocations suited to formal or semi-formal letter writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You demonstrate a limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and basic complex forms connected by coordinating conjunctions. There are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation, particularly with verb tenses and articles, such as 'Its been a very long time to talk with you', 'invite our professors in this party', and 'can please help me'. Other errors include subject-verb agreement issues like 'When our all friends meet'. While your meaning remains understandable despite these errors, achieving a higher band requires a wider mix of error-free complex structures, better control over prepositions, and improved accuracy in verb forms.
