Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses the main parts of the task, such as stating the kind of event, explaining why it would be good, and describing the help needed. However, the development of these ideas is limited and somewhat repetitive. For instance, the mention of the celebration type ('a anniversary') and the comedian is rather basic, and the explanation of why it is good relies heavily on simple repetition of gathering together ('will all gather under a roof'). The position and tone are generally friendly, but the overall coverage remains somewhat underdeveloped due to the lack of extended detail for each bullet point.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some basic organisation in the letter, but it lacks a clear overall progression and is essentially written as one long, continuous block of text rather than being properly divided into paragraphs. Cohesive devices are inadequate or misused; the text relies excessively on comma splices and coordinating conjunctions like 'and' rather than effective conjunctive markers or clear sentence boundaries. For example, sentences such as 'the event will be kind of fun a comedian actor is coming and all friends will be gather...' run together awkwardly, making the flow mechanical and sometimes difficult to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The lexical resource used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. There are noticeable vocabulary choices and word form errors that create some difficulty for the reader, such as 'arrenged a anniversary' instead of 'arranged an anniversary' and 'comedian actor' instead of simply 'comedian'. Spelling and word-choice errors, like 'aswell' and 'ahs attended', reflect a restricted control of vocabulary and spelling at this level, though communication of the basic message still manages to come through despite the inaccuracies.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writing demonstrates a very limited range of sentence structures, relying heavily on simple clauses strung together with commas. Attempts at complex sentences are faulty, leading to frequent errors in punctuation, verb forms, and tense consistency. Examples include 'I hope your doing well. i am doing good aswell , its been 10 years we haven't met', which show fundamental punctuation failures, missing articles, and inaccurate prepositional or clause structures. These frequent grammatical errors cause noticeable strain and difficulty for the reader throughout the text.
