Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three points in the task: you propose a party, explain that classmates can meet one another and their families, and ask Raman to help with invitations and food. The date and venue also make the plan concrete. Your explanation of why this format would be enjoyable is relevant, but it is brief, and the event itself could be described more clearly—for example, what the evening will include beyond games, cake and lighting. The request for help is present, though the food arrangement could be made more specific. Overall, the main purpose is clear and all parts are covered, but some ideas are less fully developed than others.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter follows a generally sensible order: greeting and purpose, event details, reasons for celebrating, and requests for help. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these stages, and phrases such as “In this party” and “I also need your help” guide the reader through the content. However, some links are repetitive or awkward, and the sequence within the event description is not always smooth. For instance, the invitation, venue, games and family reunion details could be grouped and connected more naturally. The closing is recognisable but abrupt. Clearer transitions and more precise references would make the overall progression easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main plan, including “anniversary,” “invitation cards,” “talented in art” and “arrange food.” There are also attempts to use more descriptive language, such as “grand night party,” although some combinations are unnatural or unclear. Spelling and word-form errors—including “organsie,” “freinds,” “Beacuse” and “possilbe”—are noticeable and reduce the accuracy of the message. Some wording is also repetitive, particularly “party” and “celebrate.” Aim for more natural collocations and check spelling carefully; this would make your meaning clearer and give the letter a more fluent, appropriate style.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use mostly simple sentences, with some attempts to add reasons and purpose, such as “It would be good to celebrate because…” and “in order to celebrate…”. The main message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity. For example, “invite for party” needs a recipient and article (“invite you to a party”), while “which we will celebrate this classmates” has an unclear structure. There are also issues with verb forms and sentence construction in “Will you able to arrange food with me?” and “I am looking forward to hear from you.” Practise accurate question forms, articles and infinitive patterns, while varying sentence structures.
