Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You identify a specific celebration—a dance party in Dubai—and give reasons connected to seeing former classmates and making the event memorable. You also ask your friend for financial help and a speaker, so the main task points are present. However, the letter does not clearly describe the event’s arrangements, and the reason for excluding family members and mentioning strip dancers may distract from the anniversary purpose or make the invitation uncomfortable. The request for money is vague: explain the likely costs or how much support is needed. Develop the plan and its benefits more clearly, and keep the tone appropriate for a friendly reunion invitation.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable sequence: it introduces the anniversary, describes the proposed party, then turns to practical help. Paragraphing supports these broad stages, and phrases such as “The reason is” and “Moreover” attempt to connect ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes abrupt: the shift from former girlfriends to strip dancers, and then to money and a speaker for “later fun,” makes the purpose difficult to follow. Some linking expressions are awkward or do not show the relationship between ideas clearly. Organise the letter around the event plan, its benefits, and specific requests, using straightforward transitions and clearer references.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for a social event, including “dance party,” “get together,” “memorable,” “budget,” and “speaker,” which makes the general situation understandable. However, the range is limited and several choices or combinations are inaccurate or unsuitable for a reunion letter. For example, “enjoyful” is not a natural choice, “some love in form of Money” obscures the request, and “party size JBL speaker” is unclear. “Held it like this” also does not express the intended meaning naturally. Choose precise, conventional phrases such as “financial contribution,” “portable speaker,” and “make the evening enjoyable,” and avoid wording that could undermine the friendly tone.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the reader can generally identify the main message. However, control is inconsistent, particularly in longer sentences joined by commas. For example, “I'm writing this letter …, Finally we all are getting chance” combines ideas without appropriate punctuation and has errors in article use and word order. Other examples include “requesting to not to bring” and “i don't have this much budget to held it,” where verb patterns and forms are faulty. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent. Use shorter, complete sentences when presenting the plan and requests, and check verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries before sending the letter.
