Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You identify the purpose of the letter and suggest a themed celebration, including decorations, a dress code, food, and a cake. You also ask Moazam to help with the arrangements, so the reader can understand the general plan. However, the task asks you to explain why this way of celebrating would be good, and this point is not really developed: saying that all your friends and classmates are invited does not explain the benefits of the theme or event. The help you need is also somewhat unclear, as you mention supervision, menu suggestions, and choosing the time and venue without specifying what you expect your friend to take responsibility for. Develop these points more directly and clearly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The letter follows a recognisable format, with a greeting, an opening purpose, details about the event, and a closing. The ideas are mostly related to organising the celebration, but they are crowded into one long paragraph, so the reader has to work to distinguish the event plan, the reason for it, and the requested help. Some links between ideas are unclear; for example, “This is because my all friends and classmates are invited” does not clearly connect to the preceding request. Use separate paragraphs for the event and its rationale, then the help you need, and connect each point with clear, accurate transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the occasion, including “anniversary,” “theme,” “decoration,” “venue,” and “budget,” and the reader can generally identify the kind of event you have in mind. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make parts difficult to interpret, such as “special event celebration,” “healthy menue,” and “cold-drinks.” “Beautifull day” and “combenation” also contain spelling errors. Aim for more natural event-planning expressions and check spelling carefully. For example, describe a “gold-and-silver colour scheme” and ask for suggestions for a “suitable menu”; these choices would make your plan clearer and more precise.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response communicates its basic purpose through mostly simple statements and a few attempts to connect ideas, but grammatical errors are frequent and sometimes make the relationships between ideas unclear. Examples include “I am writing this letter for asking,” “It about themed like,” and “I humble request for you please help me the organisation.” Verb forms and sentence construction need particular attention. There are also errors in articles, agreement, and punctuation, as in “my all friends” and the run-together sentence beginning “I hope you are doing well.” Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and use full stops to separate each request or detail.
