Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three requested points: you propose a hotel party with games, explain that it could help friends take a break from work and responsibilities, and ask Priya to help find suitable venues or event sites. The memories of college games make the celebration relevant and personal. However, some parts are clearer and more developed than others. The event is described in detail, but the reason for choosing this format is less fully explained, and the help you need could be more specific—for example, asking Priya to compare venues, contact classmates, or coordinate activities. Overall, the purpose is clear, though a few ideas need fuller explanation.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The letter has a recognisable progression: you reconnect with Priya, introduce the anniversary plan, describe the party, explain its purpose, and request help. Paragraph breaks also separate these main points. However, some transitions and references are unclear, and the long paragraph about games combines several ideas without enough organisation. Phrases such as “So, these kind of activities” and “it will why because” make the links between ideas difficult to follow. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example directly to the point it supports. A more conventional closing paragraph would also help the request and invitation for a reply feel complete.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “anniversary,” “activities,” “memories,” “responsibilities,” and “cultural events.” The specific examples of games also help convey the atmosphere you want. However, spelling errors and inaccurate or unnatural word choices are frequent enough to make parts of the letter difficult to understand, as in “loang time,” “welknown hotel,” “funn,” and “for rememberence.” Some phrases, such as “friends holds,” do not express the intended meaning clearly. Build accuracy with common collocations before trying more ambitious wording, and proofread spelling carefully. More precise language for the event and the help requested would make the message easier to read.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a reason clause in “as you are very intelligent to search sites for event” and a sentence explaining that friends face responsibilities and workloads. The overall message remains understandable, but some sentence structures are faulty, and errors in verb forms, articles, agreement, and punctuation sometimes obscure meaning. For example, “it has been a long time since we connected” needs a clearer tense pattern, while “you and your family health is fine” needs a grammatical subject and possessive form. Several sentences also run together without full stops. Practise accurate sentence boundaries and basic clause patterns, then add complex structures with careful checking.
