Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address all three requested points: you propose a party near the college, explain that it could bring former classmates together to recall college memories, and ask your friend for help and support. These details make the purpose of the letter clear. However, the event plan is only partly developed: “lot of fun activity” and the food and dancing are listed, but practical details such as a date, expected numbers, or what your friend could specifically organise are missing. The reason for celebrating is relevant, though the memories are described generally. The request for help is also broad. Develop these ideas with a few concrete details and make the invitation and request more explicit.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The letter has a recognisable sequence: it introduces the anniversary, describes the proposed venue and activities, explains why a reunion would be enjoyable, and asks for support. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these main points. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, and several sentences are joined by repeated “because” or “so,” making the links feel mechanical. For example, the opening sentence combines the past reunion and the proposed event without a clear connection, while “some are doing good jobs, are numbers of doing his buisness” is hard to interpret. Use clearer topic sentences and separate related ideas into shorter sentences. Refer to your friend consistently, and use linking phrases only where they show a precise relationship.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to a reunion, including “anniversary,” “celebrate,” “food variety,” “dancing floor,” and “golden memories.” This gives the reader a basic picture of the event and its purpose. However, the range is limited, and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “all on one plateform,” “one of party,” and “contribute” without saying what friends should contribute. Spelling errors such as “writting,” “vegetarian,” and “alcohal” are noticeable and sometimes slow the reader. Build a more precise set of phrases for invitations, venue arrangements, and shared responsibilities, and check spelling and natural word combinations before sending the letter.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a reason clause in “if all are coming on this event then we remember the our golden memories.” However, control is limited: errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur frequently and can make meaning difficult to follow. For example, “past ten years ago we all are together” does not express the time relationship clearly, and “some are doing good jobs, are numbers of doing his buisness” has an incomplete and confusing structure. The closing phrase “i look forward for hearing you” also shows an inaccurate grammatical pattern. Practise accurate past and present forms, and build longer sentences from a clear subject and verb before adding clauses.
