Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address all three points: you propose a two-day hotel gathering with games, activities and food, explain that classmates have not met for a long time, and ask Jass to contact friends and recommend a hotel. These details make the purpose clear. However, the reasons and arrangements are only briefly explained; for example, “more refreshing” is not developed, and the event plan could specify what the days would involve. The response is also 11 words below the required 150-word minimum, so it needs a little more relevant detail. To strengthen the letter, explain how the activities would help everyone reconnect and give Jass a clearer, specific role in planning.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a recognisable structure: it introduces the anniversary, describes the proposed event, gives a reason, and ends with a request and sign-off. The ideas are generally in a sensible order, and phrases such as “because” and “in this way” help show relationships. However, the paragraphs are not clearly separated, and some connections are awkward or unclear, particularly the long sentence beginning “If you help me…” The sequence of requests could be easier to follow if each paragraph focused on one purpose and sentences were separated with full stops. Overall, the organisation is coherent, but cohesion is sometimes mechanical and the reader has to work out how some ideas connect.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough relevant vocabulary to communicate the basic plan, including “hotel,” “games,” “activities,” “busy schedule,” and “organise.” There are also attempts to express the occasion and its purpose, such as “anniversary” and “memories.” However, the range is limited, and frequent spelling errors—such as “writting,” “infome,” “celibration,” and “ocasion”—make the writing less clear and polished. Some phrases are also unnatural, including “Indian best food” and “discess about futher plan's.” Build a more precise set of expressions for reunion events and check spelling and collocations carefully. This would make your meaning easier to understand and give the letter a more natural tone.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You communicate the main message using short sentences and some attempts to link ideas, but grammatical control is inconsistent. For example, “I want we book hotel stay two day's” has problems with clause structure, articles and verb forms; “I want celebrate” also needs a grammatical construction such as “I would like to celebrate.” The sentence beginning “If you help me…” combines several requests without clear sentence boundaries, and punctuation is often missing or misplaced. Most structures are simple, with limited accurate use of more complex forms. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and use full stops to separate requests. More accurate basic patterns will make your ideas much easier to follow.
