Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify a suitable celebration—a dinner party at a restaurant with a banquet hall—and explain that it would let classmates reconnect and share their life experiences. These are relevant responses to the first two points. However, the event is not described in enough detail, and the reason for choosing it is brief. Most importantly, the request for help is unclear: “suggest me any other things” asks for ideas, but does not specify practical help such as contacting classmates, booking the venue, or arranging activities. The letter therefore addresses the task only partially, with ideas that remain limited and under-developed. Make each bullet point explicit, especially by stating exactly what you would like your friend to do.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The letter has a recognisable format, with a greeting, paragraphs, and an appropriate closing. Its ideas are grouped broadly by purpose: the opening introduces the anniversary, the next paragraph proposes a venue, and the final paragraph asks for input. However, progression is not always clear. “After that in mind” does not establish a logical transition, and the request paragraph combines a question, a request for suggestions, and thanks without clearly specifying the help needed. “To begin with” and “After that” also feel mechanical rather than showing a clear sequence. Use straightforward links such as “I suggest…” and “Could you help by…?” and organise the letter so the proposal, reason, and practical request each have a clear place.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the general idea, including “celebrate,” “dinner party,” “banquet hall,” and “life journey.” However, the range is limited, and several inaccurate or unnatural expressions make parts of the letter less clear, such as “one kind event,” “share this things,” and “nearest restaurant.” Spelling errors in “anniversy” and “belive” also reduce accuracy. Some phrases appear to be direct translations rather than natural English collocations. Build a more precise set of expressions for planning a reunion, such as “class reunion,” “reserve a venue,” and “get together.” This would make the proposal clearer and more natural while retaining the friendly tone.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more developed sentence forms, and the main message is generally understandable. However, errors in sentence construction and verb forms occur often enough to affect clarity. For example, “I really wanted share” needs an infinitive marker, while “we wil organise dinner party nearest restaurant” is missing grammatical elements and has an unclear structure. The question “Can you please suggest me…” also uses an incorrect pattern; write “Could you suggest…” or “Could you give me some suggestions?” There are further issues with agreement and tense in “everyone enjoy” and “how things goes on.” Practise accurate request forms and check articles, verb endings, and sentence structure, especially in longer sentences.
